The HTC Desire 816 just landed in the European market, although at the moment it is only available in stores in Romania. The starting price of the HTC Desire 816 is set at 300 euros. The availability of this mid- range smartphone from the Taiwanese company HTC should reach the entire European territory in a matter of days. While this terminal expands throughout the rest of the continent, let's take the opportunity to take a look at the technical specifications that it incorporates as standard.
The HTC Desire 816 is presented with a screen 5.5 inches to reach a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. Inside we find a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with four cores running at a clock speed of 1.6 GHz. The RAM memory has a capacity of 1.5 GigaBytes, while the internal storage offers us a space of 8 GigaBytes expandable by means of a microSD card of up to 64 GigaBytes. The operating system installed as standard is Android in its version ofAndroid 4.3 Jelly Bean, although chances are good that you will end up getting an update that brings with it the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
On the multimedia side, the HTC Desire 816 sports two cameras. The main camera incorporates a sensor of 13 megapixels, while the front camera comes with a sensor five megapixel which is more than enough for the type pictures selfie and video calls. All technical specifications are possible thanks to a 2,600 milliamp battery that offers autonomy that has not yet been officially specified by HTC.
If we analyze all these specifications we will see that the HTC Desire 816 offers very acceptable data for a smartphone that is part of a mid-range. Adding to all this the price of this mobile - 300 euros -, the truth is that this terminal turns out to be an alternative to take into account for all those who are looking for a balanced smartphone without making the jump to 600 or 700 mobiles euros that are in the market.
In addition to this mid-range terminal, there are also many rumors that indicate the possibility that HTC is working on a new HTC One M8 Mini. It would be a somewhat simpler and cheaper version of the HTC One M8, although its price would probably be above the price of this new HTC Desire 816 (we are talking about a range of between 400 and 500 euros). Even so, we must give this new terminal a chance since it can become a very interesting alternative to all the high-end mobiles that we currently have on the market. If we take a look at the rumors, we will see that this HTC One M8 Mini could be presented with a screen offive inches (slightly smaller than the screen of the HTC Desire 816).
