The new Honor Magic, from Huawei's second brand, could hit the market in the coming weeks and become the most powerful smartphone of the year, with a quite striking price if we compare it with the sale value in the market of other terminals, both Honor and Huawei. The new Honor Magic could be around 1000 dollars, almost 950 euros.
The question is: are users willing to invest that high amount in the phone? For the first time, the Honor brand would enter a price range much closer to that of iPhones, and the amount is even higher than that of one of the most successful Android terminals on the market in recent months (the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge). In any case, the final price is not yet confirmed.
Honor faces Xiaomi and Meizu with a powerful smartphone
There is increasing competition in the mobile market, in part due to the appearance of new Chinese brands that launch very powerful smartphones at very competitive prices. And it seems that Huawei wants to continue maintaining its privileged position, betting on a new, very powerful model for its second Honor brand.
And it seems that the bet has meant aiming for the highest specifications: so much, in fact, that many mention that the Honor Magic could be the most powerful smartphone of 2016 (the brand plans to officially announce it in the next few days, before end of December).
According to the information leaked so far, the Honor Magic will have a large screen with hardly any side edges, a fingerprint reader located at the bottom (instead of the back of the phone, as we have seen in the Honor 8), resolution 4K and dual cameras on both the front and rear).
Regarding the interior, the phone will have the powerful Kirin 950 SoC processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. If we consider the storage space and RAM, the price is surprising: why more than 900 euros for this model, when we already find other smartphones on the market with 128 GB of storage and up to 6 GB of RAM? We will have to wait for the official launch to confirm these specifications, since at the moment there is no official information from Honor in this regard.
The Honor Magic will be presented in the coming days at an official event in which the company will release all the details of the new phone, so we can confirm or deny rumors and leaks. Until now, the battery capacity is not known, for example, but it will have to be quite high to offer good autonomy if the screen has 4K resolution. It is logical to expect, for example, that the phone is equipped with Huawei's fast charging system that we have already found in other terminals of the brand and Honor.
You also have to wait to find out if there will be other news, such as water resistance or wireless charging of the device.
