In China it has reaped great successes and now it has reached Spain. It is the Honor 20, a device that is framed as the flagship of the Huawei division, and that in just a few days we will have in our market. In just two weeks it sold a million units in its home country. We will see what happens now that Google has announced its veto to the brand.
In any case, the Honor 20 reaches the European market and will go on sale in a staggered manner in different countries. Spain will be one of the last, since it will arrive in early July and will be sold for 500 euros. But, what do we know about this device, what are its advantages and when can we buy it?
Honor 20, these are its characteristics
If you know the devices of the house, the technical sheet of the Honor 20 will sound very familiar. Because the truth is that it has characteristics very similar to those of the Huawei P30 and the Honor 20 Pro, although here we already find important distinctions, in terms of the camera system and the size of the device itself.
The Honor 20 that Spanish users will be able to purchase from next July is an elegant and distinguished device, with a body made entirely of glass and aluminum. It also has a 6.1-inch OLED screen and FullHD + resolution. It also stands out, physically, for having a fingerprint sensor located on the side of the device.
At the heart of the team we find a Kirin 980 processor, which combines its performance with 6 GB of RAM and a capacity of 128 GB for storage. There is a second model, in this case with 256 GB of capacity, but it does not seem that it will land in our country. Unfortunately, and in reference to this Honor 20 with 128 GB, users will not be able to expand the memory externally, unlike what they can do with other models such as the Huawei 20 Pro, through microSD cards. In this case, users will have to rely on other solutions, such as the cloud, to continue storing content without the phone memory being affected.
As for the camera, we can talk about a 48 megapixel Sony IMX 586 sensor and a lens with a focal aperture f / 1.8. On the other hand, it has three additional sensors: the first, with 16 megapixels, a 117º wide-angle lens and f / 2.2 focal aperture; the second, a 2 megapixel macro lens and f / 2.4 focal aperture, to focus closely; and the third, which is a support sensor, which only operates to measure distances and volume of bodies, with 2 megapixels. On the front, the Honor 20 has a 32-megapixel sensor and an f / 2.2 focal aperture.
The operating system chosen is that of Google and specifically, Android 9 Pie, although spiced up with the interface of the house in the EMUI 9.1 version. It has, for the moment, all the applications and services of the Google ecosystem and enjoys support from the firm.
Price and availability of Honor 20 in Spain
As we have indicated, the Honor 20 will be available in Spain from next July. A specific date has not yet been indicated, but we know that it will be during the first days of the month. If you want to know where to find it, we will tell you that it will be on sale at MediaMarkt (online and in physical stores), at Grupo Euskaltel, Phone House, Fnac, Worten and at Hihonor.com, which is the brand's official website.
To get it, you will have to pay 500 euros. The first to purchase it will get a gift card with an amount of 100 euros.
