Yesterday we told you that within the roadmap that an Italian website had leaked about the future launches of the South Korean Samsung, a particularly interesting terminal had been seen. Responding to the aseptic model name of i9250, today we know that it could be the rumored Google Nexus Prime, the third generation of the native mobile phone from Mountain View and that Samsung itself confirmed a little more than a month ago through Twitter.
At that time, from the Korean multinational they already warned that the Nexus Prime would equip the new Super AMOLED HD screen, a kind of evolution of the Super AMOLED Plus panel of the Samsung Galaxy S II with the peculiarity of shooting its resolution up to 1,280 x 720 pixels of canvas.
But the thing does not end there. As had been proposed, it is assumed that the Nexus Prime will be the mobile that opens the new generation of Google platforms with the Android 2.4 Ice Cream update.
So far, there is not much data about the news that the next edition of the Google platform will bring with it, although judging by the features that the Nexus Prime would include, we can anticipate that those of Mountain View would have designed an important qualitative leap with Ice Cream.
We say this because, in the absence of official confirmation from the manufacturer, it seems that the Google Nexus Prime will work with a dual-core processor and a speed of 1.5 GHz, as revealed by the OLED-Display site. It is also assumed that it has a RAM memory of at least one GB.
If the times that Google and Samsung could be planning are not twisted, the Nexus Prime could go on sale next October, ahead of the usual rate of launches of this family of terminals. In any case, after the purchase of Motorola by Google, we have to wait to see if those of Mountain View do not decide on the latest model to develop their next Nexus with their own hardware.
