There are only a few hours left for Samsung to unveil the new generation of Samsung Galaxy Note. As is usual in the company, hours before the presentation Samsung shows what is supposed to be the processor of the Galaxy Note 10, and ultimately, the Galaxy Note 10+. We refer to the Exynos 9825, the evolution of the Exynos 9820 whose improvements go beyond gross power or processing capacity.
Exynos 9825: 5G, 7 nanometers and 8K recording
For the first time in history, Samsung has decided to launch a different processor model for the Galaxy Note series, at least until the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy S11. The Exynos 9825 presents a multitude of improvements compared to its predecessor, but the most relevant has to do with the manufacturing process, which goes from 8 to 7 nanometers, with the consequent improvement in energy consumption.
As for the processor architecture, the eight cores arranged in two cores of the house, two Cortex A-75 cores and four Cortex A-55 cores, are still maintained. We also did not find any apparent news in the graphic section, as we continue to have the Mali G76-MP12 GPU. Where we do find a qualitative leap is in connectivity.
Unlike the Exynos 9820, the company's new processor is fully compatible with 5G networks thanks to the Exynos 5100 modem that it integrates. Regarding 4G connectivity, the Exynos 9825 has LTE-A category 20 8CA with up to 2 Gbps download and LTE category 20 3CA with up to 316 Mbps upload.
Finally, the 9825 supports 8K 30 FPS and 4K 120 FPS video recording, as well as 4K displays up to 4,096 × 2,160 pixels. It also supports the incorporation of a rear camera of up to 22 megapixels, two cameras of 16 and 16 and one of 22 if we move to the front.
What phones will mount this processor? At the moment the company has not revealed the portfolio of smartphones with this processor, although everything indicates that it will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 together with the Galaxy Note 10+ that will debut the new CPU of the Asian giant. We will have to wait, therefore, for the official presentation of the terminal, which will take place at 10:00 p.m. Spanish time.
