Although until next year 2012 Apple does not intend to add support for our language among those compatible with the personal assistant of the iPhone 4S, it does not hurt to know what the risks may be currently involved in making use of the new feature that Apple presented the last October 4th.
And the thing is, a major security flaw is affecting users who already own this new version of the advanced mobile from Cupertino. Apparently, and as reported by the CNET portal, Siri bypasses the terminal lock and can be used without having to know the password to unlock it. With the consequent risk that if the iPhone 4S is stolen or lost, anyone will be able to make calls, send emails or send short text messages.
And all this because of the default settings that Siri, the personal assistant of the new Apple mobile, brings by default. However, there is a simple way to disable the function while the smartphone is locked. You simply have to go to the mobile settings and in the "General" tab, select the "code lock" option.
Once inside you will be able to see a section that refers to Siri. This should be placed in the OFF or disabled position. In this way, the user can rest assured that no person outside the team can use the iPhone 4S and with the consequent expense on the bill at the end of the month.
Furthermore, we remember that within the terminal block options, the user can select the option to: Delete data. This will mean that after several unsuccessful attempts - ten attempts to be exact - the computer itself will make a complete erasure of all personal data that has been stored throughout its use.
