Gorilla glass 4 announcement adds more possibilities to microsoft lumia 940 presentation
Today, the presentation of Corning Gorilla Glass 4, the new screen protection technology that will succeed the current Gorilla Glass 3, has taken place. Beyond the benefits that the arrival of this new technology will bring to users, it turns out that this announcement also represents a small confirmation that adds even more credibility to the rumors about the new Microsoft Lumia 940. And, as the leaks indicate, Microsoft will launch at the beginning of next year 2015 a new smartphone from the Lumia range that will probably correspond to a new Microsoft Lumia 940.
¿ And what is the relationship between new technology Gorilla Glass 4 and presentation of the Microsoft Lumia 940 ? The answer is found on the American website WMPowerUser , where they have cleverly remembered to remind us that one of the latest leaks about the new Lumia 940 spoke of this terminal incorporating a five-inch screen with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. And given that at the time of said leak the date of presentation of the new Corning Gorilla Glass 4 technology was not yet officially known, we are facing a small clue that adds a little more credibility to the rumors about the new Microsoft Lumia 940.
And regarding the characteristics of the Microsoft Lumia 940, the same rumors indicate that this new smartphone will be presented with a screen five inches to reach a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The design of the new Lumia 940 will probably maintain the usual line of the Lumia range, and one of the few visible changes will reside in the change of the Nokia logo to that of Microsoft. In fact, their actions are very similar to those of the recently introduced Microsoft Lumia 535 (140.2 x 72.4 x 8.8 mm), as the rumor says that will reach137 x 71 x 8.9 mm in size and 149 grams in weight.
As for the technical specifications inside of the Lumia 940, the rumor reveals that this smartphone will host a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 with four cores with 2.7 GHz clock speed. The RAM memory will be 3 GigaBytes, while the internal memory will be 32, 64 and 128 GigaBytes (there will be three different versions). The main camera will incorporate a sensor PureView with 24 megapixel camera capable of recording video with resolution 4K (4,096 x 2,160 pixelsresolution) at a rate of 60 frames per second.
Of course, the leak indicates that the Microsoft Lumia 940 will incorporate the Windows Phone operating system as standard in its version of Windows 10. And this data, translated into estimated dates, means that the presentation of the new Lumia 940 will probably not become a reality until the beginning of next year 2015. At least that is the expected date for the official and definitive presentation of Windows 10, which will become the most recent version of the Windows Phone operating system.
