After being officially announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Alcatel 3 finally arrives in Spain from the company owned by the TCL group. Specifically, the new mid-range phone from the Chinese company comes with two versions of RAM and storage and whose price starts at 159 euros, as we announced weeks ago. Dual camera, notched screen design and 3,500 mAh battery are some of its main features. Will it be able to rival its main direct rivals? We see it below.
Notched design and Snapdragon processor behind it
This year's mid-range is characterized by having a design very similar to that of higher-end mobiles. The Alcatel 3 was not going to be less, with a notch in the shape of a water and a finish made of plastic with a fingerprint sensor on the back. The front of the equipment, meanwhile, opts for a 5.94-inch panel with HD + resolution, IPS technology and a 19.5: 9 ratio.
Moving inside the Alcatel 3, the terminal has a Snapdragon 439 processor with two available memory options, 3 and 32 GB and 4 and 64 GB of RAM and ROM expandable up to 128 GB. All this under Android Oreo 8.1 with a guaranteed update to Android 9 Pie.
For the rest, the Alcatel mid-range has a 3,500 mAh battery, FM radio, facial unlocking, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi b / g / n and Dual SIM technology.
Portrait mode for everyone with the dual camera
The photographic section of the Alcatel 3 is no small feat. According to the manufacturer, the phone drinks from two 13 and 5 megapixel sensors with interpolation up to 16 megapixels and focus aperture f / 2.0 and f / 2.4. The latter also has a real-time bokeh mode, burst photography and various Artificial Intelligence modes.
Regarding the front camera, the Alcatel 3 has a single 8 megapixel sensor with interpolation up to 13 and a focal aperture of f / 2.0. The opening degree of the latter is 73º, ideal for group selfies.
Price and availability of Alcatel 3 in Spain
The Alcatel 3 can be purchased from today for a price of 159 euros in its 3 and 32 GB version and 189 in its 4 and 64 GB version at the usual points of sale. It does so in two available colors: Blue-Purple and Black-Blue.
