The Taiwanese mobile manufacturer HTC and the creator of the Internet storage service, DropBox, have reached an agreement for the following launches of the former. And it is that currently companies like Apple or Microsoft already have their online storage services such as: SkyDrive or iCloud, respectively.
Now, HTC joins these two companies thanks to the collaboration of DropBox, the most famous online storage service. The agreement is that users who get a new HTC mobile will get a free online space that will reach five GigaBytes. We recall that DropBox users already have two GB of free storage as soon as they register for the service. Of course, there are also payment plans to get a little more space; all depending on the needs of the user.
Of course, there is always a condition. And it is that for the moment, the only HTC terminals that will have access to the virtual hard disk are those that have the new version of the HTC Sense 3.5 user interface installed, which at the moment has only presented a terminal in American lands under the name of HTC Rhyme and another in European lands: HTC Sensation XE.
The manufacturer has not confirmed anything about whether the current terminals that are updated with the new interface will have access to the advantages offered by this agreement between both companies. On the other hand, mobiles HTC present with icons of Microsoft: Windows Phone 7, certainly not be equipped with this online space. However, rest assured that SkyDrive will be the solution for future buyers.
Finally, remember that with DropBox, customers can store all types of files (documents, photos, videos, etc…) and access them from anywhere. The only thing that is needed? Well, an Internet connection, either with WiFi or with latest generation 3G mobile networks. In addition, the relevant mobile application must be installed to be able to navigate through all the menus comfortably.
