At the Mobile World Congress, not only high-end devices have been exhibited, some manufacturers have shown simpler equipment. This is the case of the Nokia 3310 or more "current" models such as that of the Swedish firm Doro. The company has unveiled a new phone specially designed for the elderly. It is the Doro 6050, with a 2.8-inch screen and an integrated camera. Its design is clamshell type and is specially developed for easy handling.
The Doro 6050 is the perfect mobile for elderly users. The terminal offers the possibility to customize the interface. In this way, it will be possible to choose between different options, which will be adapted according to the level of demand. To carry out actions, you only have to follow step by step what appears on the main screen. The texts will be simpler than on other devices. We will see phrases like "talk to someone" or "send a message." The terminal is completely foldable, and offers data in its two available panels, that is, both open and closed.
The Doro 6050 equips a 3 megapixel camera, a very low resolution. Do not forget that it is a very basic mobile, whose main mission is to make it easier for our grandparents. It is something that we will see clearly at the design level. The keys are large and easily recognizable with the fingers of the hand. The device also offers call blocking options for certain numbers and an emergency alert button.
It does not have Internet access, although it does show weather information on the main panel. We will also see other common features with other terminals, such as a contact list or flashlight. How could it be otherwise, incoming calls and messages offer a loud and clear tone. Finally, also highlight the size of its battery. The Doro 6050 equips an 800 mAh, which given the benefits it has will give us for several days of use. Regarding price or departure date we still do not have data, although it is likely that it will be put on sale around 100 euros.
