The Chinese brand Doogee is going to launch two new smartphones in its X range, designed for the cheapest sector in the market: the new Doogee X9 and Doogee X9 Pro have basic features but quite balanced in relation to value for money, and are good options for those want to buy smartphones without spending a lot of money. The two terminals are DualSIM.
Doogee X9 smartphone specifications
The Doogee X9 model has a 5.5-inch IPS touch screen and HD resolution (720 x 1280 pixels), 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with an external microSD card of up to 128 GB. The processor is a Mediatek MT6580, which has 4 cores and runs at 1.3 GHz.
The main camera is 13 megapixels, while the secondary (front) is 8 megapixels. The main one can record video in Full HD quality (1080p) at 30 fps.
The smartphone comes standard with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has a 3000 mAh battery, which offers a range of up to 11 hours of talk time or up to 3 days of standby time.
Regarding the connections, it should be mentioned that this phone has the basic ones (WiFi 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0), but it is not compatible with high-speed 4G mobile networks: we will achieve the maximum speed with the limits of 3G. For headphones, it has a standard miniJack port (3.5mm).
Doogee X9 Pro, a slightly more advanced option within the basic range
In addition to the X9, the Doogee brand has wanted to offer another option for its basic range with the X9 Pro terminal, which introduces some improvements over the other model. Specifically, the most striking are the increase in RAM (since 1 GB falls short immediately), the compatibility with 4G mobile networks and the selection of a slightly more powerful MediaTek processor.
The Doogee X9 Pro has a 5.5-inch IPS touch screen and HD resolution (720 x 1280 pixels), 2 GB of RAM memory and a MediaTEk MT6737 processor with four cores operating at 1.4 GHz. The available internal storage is of 16GB but can be extended with external microSD card up to 128 GB.
This terminal comes standard with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and incorporates a DTouch fingerprint reader on the front start button. The battery is 3,000 mAh.
As in the Doogee X9, the main camera is 13 megapixels, while the front one is 8 megapixels.
Availability and prices
Making the change from the price references in dollars, we can say that the two new terminals of the Doogee X range will be below 100 euros: about 80 euros for the Doogee X9 and about 90 euros for the Doogee X9 Pro, approximately.
The two smartphones are already available in online stores such as AliExpress, but it is likely that soon they will also be announced on Amazon Spain, as has happened with other Doogee models shortly after their launch.
