Design and dimensions
At first glance you may see the Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s practically identical. They really have a similar design, although there is a small element that changes in its front and dimensions. While the A30s has adopted the company's Infinity-V Display design, the A50s includes the Infinity U-display. This makes the notch or notch in the shape of a drop of water somewhat smaller in the case of the second, making it gain a little more space on the screen.
In any case, the two boast the main panel with reduced frames, although this one is somewhat more prominent at the bottom. Its rear is the same, with a new design that the South Korean manufacturer has called a "unique geometric pattern and futuristic holographic effect." This results in a glossy, elegant finish, very different from its predecessors. Regarding the measurements, the A30s is somewhat less heavy, although a bit thicker, something that will not be appreciated at first glance. 158.5 x 74.7 x 7.8 millimeters and 166 grams of weight for the A30s and 158.5 x 74.5 x 7.7 mm and 169 grams for the A50s.
Processor and memory
Another difference between the A30s and A50s is found in the processor and memory. While the A30s houses an 8-core Soc with a maximum clock speed of 1.8 Ghz, the A50s reaches a speed of up to 2.3 Ghz. In addition, it offers a RAM of 4 or 6 GB. The A30s also has a model with 4 GB, although it will also be sold with 3 GB of RAM. For storage, the A30s has 32, 64 or 128 GB and the A50s 64 and 128 GB. Both can be expanded by using microSD-type cards up to 512GB.
Photographic section
If you are interested in buying a mid-range mobile with a good photographic section, then the A50s will not disappoint you. This model offers a triple camera made up of a first 45-megapixel sensor, accompanied by a second 5-megapixel sensor and a third 8-megapixel sensor. Also, the front sensor has grown from the 25 megapixels of its predecessor to 32 megapixels.
The photographic section of the A30s is somewhat tighter, although it is not bad at all. The terminal has a 25 megapixel main sensor assembly, along with an 8 megapixel ultra wide angle and a 5 megapixel depth sensor. The latter will be perfect for measuring three-dimensional space and thus obtaining a better result in portrait mode. As for the front camera, we find a 16 megapixel lens. We expect a pretty decent photographic result, as this is where the company usually stands out.
Prices and versions
Although at the moment the company has not commented on the price of the devices, we do know that they will be available in different versions and colors. The Samsung Galaxy A30S will land on the market in three different versions: 3 GB + 32 GB, 4 GB + 64 GB or a version with 4 GB + 128 GB. For its part, the Galaxy A50s can be chosen with 4 GB + 64 GB or 6 GB + 128 GB. Both can be purchased in white, purple, green or black.
It is very likely that the prices are very similar to those of its predecessors. Currently, the Samsung Galaxy A30 sells for 240 euros in stores like Amazon. The A50 costs a bit more, 260-280 euros.
