The update to Android 8 Oreo has already become one of the most anticipated of the moment. However, as you know, operating system updates take their time. Faced with a new version, most manufacturers have a long process of adaptation and testing ahead of them. Hence the updates are late. And that users have to wait patiently for its deployment.
It does not appear that there will be exceptions in this regard. Not with the Android 8 Oreo version. However, there are some devices, especially the higher-end ones, that should be updated before the end of this year 2017. An official confirmation by the brands is missing, but these are the teams that should receive Android 8 Oreo in the next three months.
1. Google Pixels, the first with Android 8 Oreo
Obviously, all new Android updates go through Google devices first. On this occasion, the first to update will (for sure) the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus Player, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5x. If you have any of these equipment, you can rest easy. The update will arrive in less than a rooster crowns. And you can enjoy it before anyone else.
2. Samsung Galaxy S8
We now continue with one of the great stars of the year. We refer to the Samsung Galaxy S8, current flagship of the Samsung catalog. Last year, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge were updated at the beginning of the year, just after the trial period ended. The beta program for the update is about to go live. If the process is expedited, the data package may arrive in the next three months.
3. Samsung Galaxy S8 +
The Samsung Galaxy S8 +, older brother of the original S8, should follow the same steps as the first. It should also be borne in mind that Google has set out to speed up updates. It is Project Treble, a tool that will help manufacturers to be faster in this of adaptations. We do not know if it will apply to Android 8 Oreo. But be that as it may, this is excellent news.
4. Samsung Galaxy Note 8
And we continue with another member of the Samsung family. It is the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the most advantageous of the series. And the last one to hit the market. Despite the fact that it has just landed on the market, the device runs on Android 7 Nougat. So this will be, along with the S8 and S8 +, one of the first devices to be updated to Android 8. The testing period will be joint, so we hope that the update will also arrive before January 2018.
5. LG V30
The LG V30 was unveiled in late August and it did so by running Android 7 Nougat. The team has inherited the same materials and the LG G6 raises the profile that until now had kept the family V. devices must not forget that Fullvision has a 6 inch screen and a powerful processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. In Initially, the LG V30 should be one of the first to move to Android 8 Oreo.
6. Sony Xperia XZ Premium
We now continue with one of the star terminals in the Sony catalog. It is the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, a device that was presented in July of this year. And that stands out for having a wide 4K HDR screen, a next-generation processor and a very powerful camera. In any case, this is expected to be one of the first Sony devices to update to Android 8 Oreo. At the moment it is already on the list. Now we just have to wait for the manufacturer to give it priority.
7. Sony Xperia XA1 Plus
Sony has already published a list of the devices that will be updated to Android 8 Oreo. It should be noted, however, that the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus should be another of the privileged. The equipment was launched on the market in August and has a high-flying technical sheet. This should be one of the reasons why Sony would have to upgrade this equipment in the first place.
8. Huawei P10
It is another of the brands that sell the most in the mobile phone market. At the moment it has not published any calendar, but the most logical thing is that the first device to be updated to Android 8 Oreo is the Huawei P10. Which is its current flagship. Currently, the device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with the EMUI 5.1 interface. We hope that this is one of Huawei's priorities and that it also arrives in the remainder of 2017.
9. Huawei P10 Plus
In recent weeks it has been known that Huawei is already working on updates to Android 8 Oreo for its computers. Both the Huawei P10 and the Huawei P10 Plus are already on the list, so everything indicates that they will be the first. It is very likely that along with the news and features of Android 8, Huawei will also deliver important performance improvements to users.
10. Moto Z2 Play
The Moto Z2 Play is already in Spain. The team was introduced just a few weeks ago. And it is one of the most interesting proposals in the Motorola catalog. The device, therefore, should be (among others), one of the first to receive the update. The manufacturer has always been quite agile when it comes to making its updates known (especially when it was owned by Google) and this has been maintained over time. If you have other Motorola equipment, it will be good for you to consult the following list.
Keep in mind, of course, that these will not be the only devices on the market that will be updated to Android 8 Oreo. In fact, we have talked about which could be the first, based above all on the tradition of the manufacturers and the characteristics of each of the teams. The most current are always updated. Which at the same time are the most powerful.
If you have a device with Android 7 and you think it could be updated to Android 8 Oreo, you should check this list. Because these should be the first to go to the new version. You should know, on the other hand, that the first listings of large manufacturers such as Samsung, Huawei, Motorola or Sony have already been filtered.
