The Chinese brand ZTE plans to add, shortly, a new terminal to its catalog: it is the ZTE Blade A2S, as we have learned from the Gizchina website. This is the successor to last year's model, the ZTE Blade A2. A terminal, as we will see, quite adjusted in price, so its characteristics will be adjusted to the input range. A modest terminal that will satisfy that large group of users who simply need the terminal to make calls and check mail and social networks.
Features of the new ZTE Blade A2S
First of all, we focus on your design. We found a model with a curved back, so that the user has a better grip on it. The material from which it is made is aluminum, which ensures a light weight and a great durability in use. Its screen is 5.2 inches, so it falls short of the mid-range standard and can make the difference between using it with one hand or two. A detail to keep in mind if you are one of those who prefer a slightly more trimmed terminal, but without losing quality. We also have Full HD resolution, which makes it an ideal phone for multimedia consumption.
Inside the new ZTE Blade A2S we find an eight-core Mediatek MT6753 processor. However, it is surprising, in a terminal of these characteristics, to see 3 GB of RAM. As for the storage section, we have 32 GB, with the option to increase it through a MicroSD card. If you have to buy a terminal in 2017, surely 32 GB of storage is the minimum you should demand.
We do not forget the photographic section. Here, surely, we will also see the starting price of this new ZTE Blade A2S reflected. We will have a 13-megapixel main camera and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. This front camera has an on-screen flash.
And the battery? Well, we also find modest figures. We have a 2540 mAh battery. If we are demanding, we will have to load it before the end of the day. Perhaps, with a little intense use, we can get to the day without plugging it into the network. But we already tell you that if the battery is important to you, these numbers are scarce to move a 5.5-inch screen and Full HD for a whole day. The charge, by the way, we will do it through a microUSB connection. At the back, we have a fingerprint sensor (an option that we already find in the home range).
This ZTE Blade A2S will hit stores with an approximate price of $ 107, about 90 euros to change. We would be surprised if this model reached that price, especially when the previous ZTE Blade A2 cost about 130 euros. So we can expect it to cost a bit more.
Differences from the ZTE Blade A2
Let's see now what we can find new in this ZTE Blade A2S with respect to its brother from 2016.
- We went from an HD screen to Full HD and from 5.0 to 5.5. It's a notable change, especially for avid multimedia content consumers.
- Inside, we see a processor change: in the previous one we saw the Mediatek MT6750. And we increase the RAM: from 2 GB we go to 3 GB. And with regard to the battery, a minimal increase: from 2,500 to 2,540 mAh.
- The rest remains the same, such as the fingerprint sensor and the main and front cameras.
