A new wave of SMS is being distributed on a large scale through the number 610928472 (+34610928472 for residents outside of Spain). Although the first reports take us until November 2019, the truth is that the sending of messages has not stopped since then. The message in question is limited to announcing the temporary suspension of the Bankia user for security reasons to all those users who are customers of the aforementioned online banking. The reality is that we are facing a new type of telephone scam that has already been placed in the hands of the authorities.

This was confirmed by FACUA last November, and we have been able to verify this after accessing the link attached to the supposed message from Bankia. The SMS usually says the following:
The linked page perfectly imitates the access gateway that Bankia provides to online banking customers. Just take a look at the domain of the web to verify that we are facing a case of phishing , or what is the same, identity theft.
The objective of the website is nothing more than to obtain the data of the Spanish bank's clients to carry out fraudulent cash withdrawals. As we can see in the image, the form will ask customers for their DNI, NIF or passport number along with the access code, essential data to access the Bankia website. How to block SMS from +34610928472 and other spam numbers
In Android and iOS blocking an SMS is as simple as accessing the message in question and then clicking on the SMS Options, which are usually represented by three points.
Then we will click on the Block number option. The reception of any SMS from all those numbers that we have previously blocked will be automatically blocked.
