Historically, Motorola has been one of the brands that is most used to updating its devices, in part due to its collaboration with Google on the Android One program. Unfortunately, this has ceased to be the case in recent months. Some terminals whose update to Android 10 had been announced at the beginning of the year have not yet received their share of the cake. Many others have stopped updating, so they will be stuck in Android 9 Pie indefinitely. For this reason we have made a compilation with several of the Motorola phones that have not yet received Android 10 and that will be updated predictably from the next few weeks, according to the company's plans.
List of Motorola phones that have not yet updated to Android 10
In early 2020 Motorola unveiled its roadmap to update several of its phones to Android 10. Half a year later some of these devices have been updated, but only in some countries.
In Mexico, for example, the brand's plans are different from those of Spain and Brazil. The list confirmed by Motorola in the country of the feathered snake, the devices that will be updated during the next weeks are the following:
- Motorola Moto G7 Play
- Motorola Moto G7 Plus
- Motorola Moto G8 Plus
- Motorola Moto G8 Play
- Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite
- Motorola One Zoom
- Motorola One Macro
- Motorola One Action
- Motorola Razr
In Spain the plans are somewhat different. The list of mobiles that will receive Android 10 in the coming months is as follows:
- Motorola Moto Z3 Play (August 2020)
- Motorola Moto G8 Plus (July 2020)
- Motorola Moto G8 Power Lite (July 2020)
- Motorola Moto G8 Play (July 2020)
In the rest of the countries, Motorola will update the following terminals:

- Motorola Moto G7 Power
- Motorola Moto Razr
- Motorola Moto G7 Plus

The update date for each of these models will vary depending on the country. Most should already have received Android 10 officially, however, if the phone is tied to a contract with operators, such as Movistar or Telcel, the dates could be further delayed.
Which Motorola phones will not update to Android 10
The list of mobiles that will not receive the latest from Google is quite long. We can summarize Motorola's decision that all mobile phones launched in 2018 will stop updating as of this year, regardless of the range to which they belong. Starting from this premise, the list of terminals that will not update to Android 10 is as follows:
- Motorola Moto Z3
- Motorola Moto E5
- Motorola Moto E5 Plus
- Motorola Moto E5 Play
- Motorola Moto E6s
- Motorola Moto E6
- Motorola Moto E6 Plus
- Motorola Moto E6 Play
- Motorola Moto G6

Is there a way to force the Android 10 update on Motorola?
We regret to say that there is no simple way to force the update of any Android version on a Motorola mobile.
Generally, the delay of an update is usually linked to the territory where it is launched (Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Portugal…) or to the company that has acquired the rights to the brand. It is a fact, mobiles purchased through contracts with operators tend to receive updates more slowly.
