What's new in Android 10 under Samsung One UI 2.0
Before getting into the subject, it's time to talk about the news that Samsung's One UI 2 will present on Android 10. The first one has to do with the redesign of the gesture system.
Now the way to control the interface is much more similar to Android Stock. In fact, the multitasking, back and home gestures are virtually identical to those of pure Android. Also the dark mode, which undergoes a facelift and is compatible with a greater number of system applications. Likewise, we can configure it to activate at certain times or resort to automatic activation when it is night.
Although without a doubt the biggest change in One UI 2 regarding the system interface has to do with the layout of the applications. System application items are now displayed at the bottom of the screen to improve one-handed device use.
In terms of applications, One UI 2.0 adds Google Digital Wellbeing and Android 10 battery management. Android Auto is also included, and Android Beam is removed to exchange files via NFC.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10e
Although the update to Android 10 is already available in the form of a public beta, it will not be until January next year when Samsung releases Android 10 for the Galaxy S10, S10 Plus, and S10e. We do not have a specific date, but it is expected to be launched at the end of the month in a staggered manner.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus
The situation is similar if we talk about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10. Both devices can already be updated to One UI 2.0 through the public beta.
Unfortunately, the release of the stable version will not be effective until January 2020 for the two devices in the Note range.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
Today Samsung has decided to open the beta of One UI 2.0 for the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The bad news is that neither device will receive the update until April.
It is not ruled out that Samsung decides to advance the release of Android 10: everything will depend on the number of errors to be corrected in the trial versions.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Like the S10 and Note 10 series, the Galaxy Note 9 will get its fill of cake starting in January 2020. The good thing is that we can already enjoy this version officially by resorting to the public beta of the phone.
It is also not ruled out that it will arrive earlier than expected, since the current state of the update in the testing phase is quite advanced.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus
Unfortunately the Galaxy S8 series is left out of Samsung's plans. The good news is that the devices are supported through the XDA Developers community and HTCmania. In the article we just linked, we cited some of the best Android ROMs for the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8
As with the Galaxy S8 and S8 +, the Galaxy Note 8 will run out of its share of Android in the tenth version of the system, at least officially. We can always resort to unofficial ROMs to install Android 10 on the phone.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A10 and A10s
Good news for owners of a Galaxy A10 or A10s: May will be the month in which the two low-end Samsung phones are updated.
For the first time in history Samsung has decided to give continued support to low-end mobiles. To date, these types of devices did not exceed the official support year.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A20 and A20s
The A20 series will have Android 10 officially, although in this case we will have to wait until May if we have a Galaxy A20 and June if we have a Galaxy A20s.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A30 and A30s
The A30 series will be the first to update along with the rest of Samsung's high-end phones. While the Galaxy A30 will get the update in January, the A30s wo n't be updated until May. It is very likely, however, that Samsung decides to advance the update.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A40
No data available for the Galaxy A40 to Android update. This does not mean that the terminal is going to be stuck in Android 9 Pie. In fact, the rest of the A series mobiles will be updated normally.
The dates that are being considered are between January and May 2020, although at the moment there is nothing confirmed.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A50 and A50s
We fully enter Samsung's mid-range with the Galaxy A50. The terminal will receive its share of cake in April, where predictably its older brother, the Galaxy A50s, will be updated. No data is available on the latter, at least for the moment.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A70 and A70
The outlook inside the Galaxy A70 and A70s is very similar to the A50: the update will arrive from April. Unfortunately we do not have data from the Galaxy A70s, although they should not differ from the A70.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A80
Samsung's upper-middle range will receive Android 10 a month earlier than the rest; specifically in March.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A90
Samsung's first high-end mobile with 5G has not been confirmed at the moment. Logic tells us that it should be updated together with the Galaxy A80 from March, although at the moment we do not have official data from the company.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018
Good news for users of the Galaxy A7 of 2018. The terminal will be officially updated in April of next year, along with the rest of the A series phones.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A9 2018
Like the Galaxy A7, the Samsung Galaxy A9 from 2018 will get the update to Android 10 from April 2020, at least according to Samsung data.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6 Plus 2018
It is unknown if the Galaxy A6 and A6 + will be officially updated to the tenth version of the system. Since they have similar hardware to the A7, it is not ruled out that they are updated together with the latter. We will have to wait for Samsung to make it official through its networks.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8 Plus 2018
The A8 series has also not been confirmed by Samsung through official channels. We look forward to further confirmation from the South Koreans.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy J6 and J6 Plus
Good news and bad news for those who have a Galaxy J6 and J6 +: both will be updated to Android 10 officially. Unfortunately, the update has been postponed to June and July respectively - almost a year in between.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy J8
The J8 series will receive Android 10 officially. For this we will have to wait until July 2020, nothing more and nothing less.
Update to Android 10 of the Samsung Galaxy M10, M20 and M30
The low range of Samsung presented throughout this 2019 has not been confirmed at the moment. Following the company's way of acting with the rest of low-end mobiles, it is not ruled out that they will be updated in mid-2020.
Unfortunately we still cannot confirm this information. We will update the article as soon as they are official.
Update to Android 10 of Samsung tablets
We cannot forget about Samsung tablets or tablets. While most will officially update, the update date for the company's models is much more distant than that of phones. Let's see how much.
