The sudden announcement that Korean firm Samsung will stop making its entry-level range, known to all as the Samsung Galaxy J, hasn't caught us too off guard. And it is that in the sector of the range of entry and mid-range, Samsung had to put the batteries and feed a sector of the catalog that can affect its coffers large profits. The Samsung Galaxy J range says goodbye to make way for the Samsung Galaxy A that, this year, has not stopped releasing models: the next Samsung Galaxy A90 will be presented next Wednesday, April 10 and is positioned as the spearhead of the premium mid-range. In the home range we have the Samsung Galaxy A10 and Samsung Galaxy A20, of which we have already spoken to you on previous occasions.
Ciao, Samsung Galaxy J
This already confirmed announcement took its first steps on April 2 in which Samsung's official account reported that the brand's J line, associated with its more affordable terminals, would now be known as Samsung Galaxy A. You can see the video then.
Now, Samsung's catalog can be summarized as:
- Samsung Galaxy A, which comprises the terminals of the start-up and mid-range firm
- Samsung Galaxy S, flagship of the brand
- Samsung Galaxy Note, with a stylus and one more step in terms of functionality and quality
- Samsung Galaxy Fold, the highest-priced device with a flexible screen
According to information taken from the XDA forum, Samsung seems to have been assuming that the change would be inevitable since September last year, especially to stop confusing the user with different nomenclatures. Now, with Samsung's new A line, the possible buyer of a Korean brand terminal will be able to find their mobile according to needs and money to spend. Samsung's new affordable line wants to show its future customer that design and quality do not have to be at odds with a moderate price, including in these terminals the infinity screen or the 'Glasstic' material, a material that mixes plastic with the glass.
No less than nine terminals will complete the A range of Samsung Galaxy. The next will be the Samsung Galaxy A90, which is speculated that it will have a novel rotary camera technology.
