Google couldn't have resisted the foldable phone craze, and would be working on its own model. This has been confirmed by the company itself during its Google I / O developer conference. However, according to Mario Queiroz, head of development for Pixel devices, its launch would not occur in a short period of time. That is, we would still have to wait a while to see it on the market.
Queiroz has also ensured that folding telephones solve the need for a larger panel, although in his opinion this feature is not enough to create demand and interest. Although at the moment there are no details and it is not known what type of characteristics that folding Pixel would include, the executive has stated that his model would be interesting enough to have to need it and know that it is useful to us.
New Pixel 3a and 3a XL
In any case, Google is now exclusively focused on its new terminals, the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL. Both models follow the line of their predecessors, although with more adjusted characteristics to offer a cheaper price. The Google Pixel 3a arrives with a 5.6-inch gOLED screen, FHD + resolution of 2,220 x 1,080 pixels in 18: 9 format. It also includes a 3,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. For its part, the Pixel 3a XL includes a 6-inch gOLED panel with the same resolution and ratio as the standard version. Its battery has a larger capacity of 3,700 mAh with 18W fast charge.
For the rest, the two computers house inside a Snapdragon 670 processor, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. At the photographic level they have a 12.2 megapixel main sensor and an 8 megapixel front sensor for selfies. The new pixels are also governed by Android 9 Pie and have a fingerprint reader on the back. The price of the Google Pixel 3a is 400 euros while the 3aXL costs 480 euros.
