The Samsung Galaxy S5 is already a reality. After dozens of rumors, this time we can already affirm with certainty some of the characteristics of the next flagship of the South Korean company Samsung. To begin with, we must know that both the rumors of the metal casing and the rumors of the plastic casing have finally been confirmed. And how is that possible? Very simple: Samsung will release two versions of the Galaxy S5; one with a plastic casing and another version with a metal casing.
In this way, the debate on the Galaxy S5 housing is finally closed. The South Korean company Samsung has decided to satisfy everyone by creating two different versions of its terminal, although yes, whoever wants to enjoy the metal case will have to pay a higher price than the version with a plastic case. Specifically, the Galaxy S5 with a metal casing would cost about 800 euros, while the Galaxy S5 with a plastic casing would have a starting price of 650 euros. This is a very similar strategy to the one that Apple itself has adapted by launching a plastic version of its smartphone (iPhone 5C) and another metallic version (iPhone 5S). In principle, said metal housing of the S5 would be nothing more than a normal and current housing accompanied by a metal cover on the back of the terminal, although this last data is not confirmed at all, so it is still too early to draw conclusions about it.
Information regarding the specifications of the Galaxy S5 has also been released. As expected, this terminal incorporate a screen AMOLED with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and in principle speak of a screen size of 5.25 inches. Regarding the interior of the terminal, we will also find two alternatives: the plastic Galaxy S5 would incorporate the Snapdragon 805 processor, while the Exynos 6 eight-core processor would be reserved for the metallic Galaxy S5. Likewise, it is confirmed that the camera will have a 16 megapixel sensorand the phone will feature the latest version of Android, Android 4.4 KitKat.
Recall that a few days ago appeared on the network a smartphone course of the South Korean company under the name Samsung Galaxy F. The main feature of this terminal was its metal casing, so perhaps we are facing the name that the metal version of the Galaxy S5 will receive.
Regarding the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S5, it is expected that this terminal will be officially presented during the month of March and then hit stores at the beginning of April. This presentation would also reveal other specifications that are still unknown, see for example the capacity of the battery or RAM. Taking into account that we are facing one of the most anticipated phones of the year, Samsung will probably release some more details before the arrival of March.
