Connecting the mobile to the PC is something that is becoming less and less common. Today there are services such as Google Drive, iCloud or Dropbox that allow us to share files between platforms without depending on a USB cable or a third-party program. HiSuite is the program that most Huawei phones drink, although there are other ways to connect a Huawei to the PC without HiSuite. This time we have made a compilation of several of the simplest methods to transfer files with USB cable and without cable.
The methods that we will see below are compatible with any Honor or Huawei mobile. Windows File Explorer
The simplest and fastest way to connect a Huawei mobile to the computer is to make use of the Windows File Explorer, which we can only access through a USB cable. Before proceeding, however, it is best to install the Huawei drivers in Windows that we can add with the HiSuite installation through this link.
When we have connected the phone to the computer, just select the option to Transfer files. A window will automatically open with the contents of the memory card and internal storage. To see it correctly we will have to unlock the phone, either with the password, the face unlock or the fingerprint.
Android File Transfer for Mac
Performing this same process on Apple Mac computers requires the installation of Android File Transfer, a program developed by the Android team to mimic the functionality of Windows File Explorer. In this case we will not have to resort to Huawei drivers , since the application has a series of universal drivers.
Once we have installed it, we will only have to connect the phone to the Mac and select the option to Transfer files as long as we have unlocked the system. In the event that we have a micro SD card inserted in the phone, the application will enable an individual room for these files, unlike Windows.
HiSuite for Windows and Mac
If Android File Transfer is Google's program to transfer files between Huawei mobile and computer, HiSuite is Huawei and Honor's program to manage the phone with USB cable.
To proceed with its installation we will have to connect the phone to the computer. Next we will be shown a virtual CD called HiSuite that we will have to execute to proceed with its installation. When the process is finished, we will connect the phone again and select the option to Transfer files with HiSuite open.
Finally, the program will request a permit from the phone called HDB that we will have to activate. Now we just have to wait for the HiSuite application to be installed on the phone to start it from Android.
When the program for Windows and Mac requests the verification code we will enter it et voilà , we will be able to transfer files from the computer to the mobile and vice versa. We can also create backup copies and update Android if we wish.
Huawei Share for Windows and Mac
Huawei Share is an application from Huawei and Honor that the company has introduced with EMUI 8.1 and that allows us to create a local server on our home's WiFi network to exchange files remotely without USB cables involved. Accessing this is as simple as going to the eponymous application from the application drawer.
Within Share, we will activate the Huawei Share options and share with the computer. Then we will click on Verification in computers and we will indicate the password and the user that we want to associate with the device on the phone.
With everything ready, we will go to Windows File Explorer and click on Network. Then a new device will appear with the name that we have previously given the phone. Now we just have to enter the password and user indicated above to enter the content of the mobile. From the latter we can see the files in the Gallery and the internal memory.
AirDroid for Windows, Linux and Mac
AirDroid is the solution for Linux, Windows and Mac to connect any phone to the computer remotely without the need to resort to third-party programs other than the AirDroid application for Android.
Once we have installed the application on the phone we will have to grant it all the permissions to manage the phone remotely. To see the internal and external memory of the device we will have to access the following address:

After entering our access data (email and password), the web will show us the content of our mobile: videos, images, SMS, calls, files and a long etcetera. We can also perform actions such as duplicating the phone screen on the computer, recording video or audio remotely or activating the location to have the mobile located.
More alternatives to connect Huawei to the computer
There are many alternatives to transfer files from a computer to Huawei and vice versa. The unlimited storage of applications like Telegram is good proof of this. We can also use Pushbullet as an alternative to AirDroid or MEGA if we want to store large files on the network.
If we have WhatsApp, a very powerful option is to create a group of just one person (us) to exchange files between Huawei and computer.
