Are there applications that you would like to keep hidden on your Samsung mobile? Our mobile is never as private as we want. Even with a lock screen activated, it can be under prying eyes, in the hands of the little ones in the house or a friend who asks to borrow the mobile.
So you have to improvise a plan b to hide those applications that we want to keep "invisible". Samsung allows you to do this by applying a simple trick, and without having to install anything.
How to hide applications on a Samsung mobile
To hide applications you only have to follow a few steps. Open the application drawer, touch the drop-down menu (of the three dots) and select Settings Home screen >> Hide applications.
If you cannot find this option in the application drawer on your Samsung mobile, go to Settings >> Display >> Home screen >> Hide applications.
In the "Hide applications" section you will see all the applications installed on the mobile with the option to select them to keep them hidden from anyone's sight. As you select the apps, they will go to the top under “Hidden applications”. And if you want to know how many you have in the selection you can use the top counter.
Once you finish the process, close the window and you will see that the icons of the selected screens disappear from the main screen, as well as from the application drawer. Yes, it is as if they were not installed on your mobile.
How to use hidden apps
How can you use hidden apps if they don't appear in any visible section of the mobile? A simple way to find them is by using "Search" in the app drawer.
As you can see in the image, once you search, it will show you the icon of the hidden application. You select it and you're done.
And if you want to reverse the action and remove the apps from their “hidden” state, you just have to follow the same steps that we mentioned before: Settings >> Display >> Home screen >> Hide applications. You will see all the "Hidden Applications" at the top, just touch the icon of those you want to make visible and it will be removed from that section.
One detail that you will notice when making apps visible is that they appear at the end of the list in the app drawer. If you want them to appear in the proper order, you will have to sort them again by name.
