Do you notice that your Huawei mobile indicates a battery level that is not correct? This may be due to a poor battery calibration. That is, the actual battery percentage is not the same as what is shown on the system screen. For example, the battery may have 50 percent capacity, but the system shows it is 20 percent. The problem comes if the system shows a higher percentage than the component actually has. For example, the battery is 5 percent and the system detects 30 percent. This causes the terminal to turn off directly. We teach you step by step how to calibrate it.
It is important to know that the calibration of the battery does not solve the autonomy problems. That is, if you have been using your mobile for a few years, it is normal that you notice that it runs out more quickly than months ago. This component is one of the least useful life components of our smparthone. Even so, it does not hurt to calibrate it to see if it really shows the percentage. Of course, it is a somewhat long process that requires time.
First, charge the battery to 100 percent capacity. Simply connect the charger and wait for it to reach the maximum level. Be careful not to disconnect or use it while it is charging. When the charge is complete, use the mobile as normal and wait for the phone to turn off due to lack of autonomy. That is, when it reaches 0%. Let the terminal turn itself off and indicate that it has no battery when you try to press the button. Wait 4 hours before connecting it to the power. Then recharge it to 100% without turning it on. Huawei phones usually turn on automatically when they start receiving power. Don't worry, you can keep it on, but with airplane mode on.
Some tips so that the battery calibration does not fail
When it charges to 100% you can unplug it and use it with total normality. The battery will have already been calibrated, and will show the actual percentage. To check, do not recharge it until it shuts down. Do not disconnect the charger during the calibration process, otherwise it will not work properly. It is also recommended that you use the original charger, even if it has a fast charge. If your mobile is compatible with wireless charging, you can use this option, but it is not the most recommended: any gesture can make the induction stop working.
My advice is to start this process in the morning. That is, one night before let the terminal charge. Then, make the most of your phone during the day so that it turns off at night and you can leave it off while you're sleeping.
How often is it advisable to calibrate the battery of our mobile?
Calibrating the battery should not only be done when you notice that the percentage is not correct. I recommend doing this process at least a couple of times a year. Fast or wireless charging can make the battery level displayed by the system unrealistic as you get more power, especially in the case of fast charging. It is also likely to be out of calibration due to a software update. Or in older mobiles, with a removable battery, because this has been removed from the body when the mobile was on.
