With the debut of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, the Galaxy S10 and S10 +, the company's flagship devices for this 2019, have ceased to reign in the catalog. Now there are four high-end models that stand out above the rest, leaving a greater weight for the vitaminized models. In fact, today we are going to compare the Note 10+ and S10 +, two heavyweights that have some things in common, although with quite marked differences.
For starters, the Note 10+ has a slightly larger panel, also compatible with HDR10 +. The power has also increased thanks to an improved processor, with extensive performance features, even for the most gamers. In addition, this model includes four main sensors, instead of three and a 4,300 mAh battery. How could it be otherwise, and unlike the S10 +, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ has an S Pen, the brand's star accessory, which has improved compared to the Note 9, and includes a renewed Lithium-Titanium battery capable of offering up to 10 hours of autonomy.
If you are interested in knowing the strengths of both teams, do not stop reading. We put them face to face in our next comparison.

1. Design and display
Samsung introduced changes at the design level in its new Galaxy S10 and S10 + with respect to its predecessors. The two came with an all-screen front with perforation to house the front camera, which is located in the upper right part and has an oval shape. The objective of this was to reduce the frames and bezels as much as possible, without having to include the dreaded notch that the vast majority of manufacturers have added in their devices.
At the rear, the glass finish with curved edges has been maintained. However, this year the top models have a ceramic finish. We could also see a change in the arrangement of the cameras, which are now positioned horizontally. Not forgetting the fingerprint reader, which disappeared from the back to be placed under the screen.
Samsung Galaxy S10 +
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ presents a continuous design, although improved. The perforation has been reduced as much as possible, and is now a small hole located in the top center. At first glance, its lines are flatter, which gives the feeling that the screen is better used. The company has not forgotten about the curves to maintain ergonomics, thus offering a more immersive experience. In addition, in order to clean it of elements so that it has an even more minimalist look, the company has positioned the main camera vertically, taking it to the upper left corner. It no longer bothers in the middle, but we still find the Samsung logo presiding over the center. Like the S10 + the fingerprint reader is located under the panel.
We cannot ignore its oleophobic coating, which prevents fingerprints when holding it with your hands. The Galaxy Note 10 has come in four colors to choose from: Aura Black, Aura White, Aura Pink and Aura Glow. The latter has a more colorful finish. And it is that depending on how the light affects it, it can be seen in different colors simulating a rainbow.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
As for the screen, both the Samsung Galaxy S10 + and the Note 10+ include a curved Dynamic AMOLED with Quad HD + resolution of 3,040 x 1,440 pixels. The difference is in the size. And is that while the S10 + is 6.4 inches, the Note 10+ has a size larger than 6.8 inches. In addition, it boasts HDR10 + certification to improve the experience when viewing multimedia content.
Processor and memory
One of the great novelties that has reached the Note 10+ this year has been an excessive power, which makes it the perfect candidate to perform without problems in all kinds of situations. The terminal moves like a fish in water thanks to an Exynos 9825 processor accompanied by 12 GB of RAM, more than enough material to take care of any heavy game worth its salt. To all this we must add that inside it there is room for a steam cooling chamber. It is capable of maintaining constant temperatures, despite the fact that we are squeezing it to the maximum.
In addition, specific software has been added to improve the gaming experience. We are talking about AI Game Booster, based on artificial intelligence, which is linked to PlayGalaxy Link, a streaming service for PC games, which uses Steam Link as its base. For storage we can choose 256 or 512 GB, expandable by using microSD cards of up to 1 TB.
Samsung Galaxy S10 +
Okay, Samsung has done a great job with the processor of the Galaxy Note 10+, but it also did the same with the S10 +. This comes powered by an Exynos 9820, an eight-core SoC manufactured in 8 nm, which goes hand in hand with 8 or 12 GB of RAM depending on the version. To save data and files, you can choose a model of 128 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB, expandable by microSD up to 512 GB.
Photographic section
At this point in the comparison, it is true that the Note 10+ comes out ahead of the S10 + in much of its characteristics. It could not be less in the photographic section. Samsung has worked hard to equip its new phablet with four main cameras. We can say that three of them are the same as the S10 +, but the fourth gives you more possibilities. We refer to a TOF sensor, which is concerned with measuring the distance between an object or subject. For your understanding, it is used to achieve a more natural bokeh mode. In addition, this sensor is now VGA and boasts a higher resolution. Its focal aperture is f / 1.4 and it offers an aperture angle of 74 degrees.
Otherwise, the other three sensors are the same as the Galaxy S10 +. We have a 12-megapixel main one with a variable focal aperture (ranging from focal f / 1.5 to focal f / 2.4) and a 77-degree viewing angle. This sensor is recommended for situations in which the light turns its back on us. Accompanying this we find a second 12 megapixel telephoto sensor and focal aperture f / 2.4. It is the one that gives us the possibility of making optical zoom of two increases without losing quality in the captures. The third sensor is a 16 megapixel 123-degree wide-angle ultra-wide lens with f / 2.2 focal aperture.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
For selfies, the S10 + is better equipped. It includes a double sensor, consisting of a main 10 megapixel sensor with f / 1.9 aperture, Dual Pixel technology and autofocus. Next to it we have another 8 megapixel sensor with an f / 2.2 aperture. With this we can achieve better quality bokeh photos or a portrait mode. The Note 10+ only has a single 10-megapixel sensor with f / 2.2 aperture.
Battery and connections
If you thought that the Samsung Galaxy S10 + was quite well endowed thanks to a 4100 mAh battery, the company has included a higher capacity one in its new Note Plus. Specifically, it equips a 4,300 mAh. Of course, both include fast charging and fast wireless charging. However, if the fast charging of the Note 10 seems insufficient, you can always buy a 45W charger separately. It is not included with the device, but if you dare, you can fully charge it in just half an hour.
With regard to connections, both have a wide array of options: Bluetooth 5.0, LTE CAT.20, USB Type-C, NFC, dual-band 802.11ac WiFi or GPS. At this point, we must talk about the S Pen that comes standard in the Note 10+ and that unfortunately is not present in the S10 +. It is an improved version if we compare it to the one included in the Note 9, with a renewed Lithium-Titanium battery with up to 10 hours of autonomy. There is also the possibility of automatically converting a handwritten note into different files: PDF, text, images or Word.
