1. Design and display
If we put one model next to the other we will see that the Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Huawei P30 Lite are very similar at the design level. Both arrive with a main panel, almost without frames, and with a notch in the shape of a drop of water. Its finishes are very similar, with a back with a gloss effect, which leaves practically the same sensations as a high-end mobile. Of course, you have to be very careful with the tracks, since they are very easy. The best thing, to keep them shiny, is to pass them a chamois from time to time.
Actually, the big difference between these two terminals is found by turning it around. And is that while the P30 Lite comes with a fingerprint reader in its central part, the A50 includes it under the panel, so its back is much cleaner of elements, and, therefore, it looks less loaded. Regarding the measurements, the P30 Lite wins, it is already somewhat lighter and more stylish: 152.9 x 72.7 x 7.4 mm and 159 grams of weight VS the 158.5 x 74.7 x 7.7 mm and 166 grams of weight of the A50.
Huawei P30 Lite
If you are looking for a mobile with a large screen, then the Samsung Galaxy A50 is going to love you. Specifically, it has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD + resolution (1080 × 2340). That of the P30 Lite is somewhat inferior: 6.15-inch IPS TFT LCD, 2312 x 1080 pixel FHD + resolution.
Processor and memory
The performance of these two devices is very similar. The Huawei P30 Lite includes an eight-core processor from the house, a Kirin 710 with 4 Cortex-A73 cores working at 2.2 GHz + 4 Cortex-A53 at 1.7 GHz. This SoC is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage internal. For its part, the Samsung Galaxy A50 comes powered by an Exynos 9610, also with eight cores, running in its case up to 2.3 GHz, and accompanied by 4 or 6 GB of RAM. The internal space is 64 or 128 GB, so we have two versions of this model.
Photographic section
Both the Samsung Galaxy A50 and the Huawei P30 Lite include a triple sensor, although with differences. We can say that the second comes out better here. This mobile includes a first 48-megapixel wide-angle lens with f / 1.8 aperture, accompanied by a second 8-megapixel 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens with f / 2.4 aperture. These two go hand in hand with a third 2 megapixel lens dedicated to bokeh.
The A50 has a first 25-megapixel sensor and f / 1.7 aperture with autofocus, a second 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f / 2.2 aperture, as well as a third 5-megapixel sensor with f / 2.2 aperture with different functions. Among them, getting images with a selective focus capable of making changes to the image once it has been captured, as well as detecting depth. And what about the selfie camera? The A50 has a front sensor in the notch of 25 megapixels, 24 megapixels in the case of the P30 Lite.
