Design and display
The Huawei P30 is the star terminal of the Asian firm, this means that it has a design worked and cared to the millimeter. Your Huawei P30 Lite inherits this design almost completely, the differences that we find are minimal but remarkable. Their differences are great, the processor dedicated to the mid-range terminal is built in 12 nanometers while its respective older brother in 7 nanometers. The difference in construction gives us a more energy efficient processor and with greater power in the Huawei P30.
The arrangement of the cores is also different between the two processors, although both are eight-core, they are placed differently. In the Kirin 710 we have four ARM Cortex-A73 cores with a fixed speed of 2.2GHz, followed by four smaller ones, ARM Cortex-A53 at 1.7GHz. Its older and more powerful brother has eight cores arranged in two clusters. Two ARM Cortex-A76 2.6GHz cores responsible for performing tasks that require raw power; another two ARM Cortex-A76 cores with a speed reduced to 1.92Ghz and finally four ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz.
Artificial Intelligence is present in both the Huawei P30 and the P30 Lite, but with limitations in the latter. While the Huawei P30 carries two Neural Processing Units or NPUs, the Huawei P30 Lite carries only one. The difference may not seem like much, but these units learn as the user performs actions with the phone. In addition, they are responsible for making the applications that need Artificial Intelligence work, so by having two instead of one we can make greater use of these applications.
For the gamer section, the GPU of both is a Mali. The Mali G51 in the Huawei P30 Lite and the Mali G76 in the Huawei P30. The mid-range terminal will have no problems moving applications or games, but it is clear that in terms of raw power the Huawei P30 has the upper hand.
