We have done the necessary tests to be able to compare the battery of the newborn Huawei P10 with its previous models. The result is a pleasant surprise, as it completely sweeps away previous models that already, in themselves, had great autonomy. How does the expected Huawei respond to previous models?
Battery comparison between high-end Huawei models
Huawei P9
This is the terminal with the most discreet autonomy of those compared. And this is due to its 3,000mAh battery, a good autonomy although nothing to do compared to better options such as the Huawei Mate 8 or the newly lit Huawei P10. 7,000 Antutu points and fifth place in the comparison for a phone that can be purchased for around 400 euros.
Huawei 9 Plus
This terminal, launched in June 2016, contains a 3,600 mAh battery, showing in the table a great Antutu score: 9,000 points. Day and a half in regular use for a terminal that can be obtained today for about € 500. Fourth place in autonomy.
Huawei Mate 9
With 10,000 Antutu points and a 4,000mAh battery, it remains below, however, the Mate 8. Even so, the autonomy is quite similar, although it is surprising that a predecessor terminal is above its older brother. Two days of normal use in a terminal that was launched in November 2016 and that can be obtained between 550 and 600 euros. Third place in autonomy.
Huawei Mate 8
A true performance beast. Nothing less than 4,000mAh has the battery of this mobile in whose test we got almost 12,000 points from Antutu. Two days of normal use for a terminal that can be purchased for around 400 euros. It was launched in February 2016. Second place in autonomy.
And the winner is…
Huawei P10
It is surprising that a terminal, a priori, whose battery 'only' has 3,200mAh can give this incredible performance result. Without going any further, it has far surpassed its biggest rival, the Huawei Mate 8. With almost 14,000 points in Antutu (13,866), this great result is undoubtedly due to the combination of its own Kirin 690 processor from 4 cores at 2.36GHz and a RAM speed of 4GB.
Leica dual camera for printing photos
The new high-end from Huawei has a 5.5-inch screen with IPS panel and Full HD resolution (432ppp) and Gorilla Glass 5 protection, internal storage of 64Gb expandable with microSD card. A good option for those addicted to consuming multimedia on their mobile device. The powerful battery + large storage combination is a great success for users who are used to traveling a lot.
As for the photographic section, we have a 20 and 12 megapixel Leica dual main camera, Sony IMX286 Exmor RS sensor and f / 2.2 aperture. We will also enjoy autofocus with phase detection, HDR and panoramas. The front camera stays at a discreet 8 MP with Full HD recording. Still, if you have enough light, you won't have a problem capturing decent selfies.
Other connectivities
The new Huawei P10 has a notable change: now we find the fingerprint sensor on the front, instead of the back. This can be an advantage, since we can unlock the terminal placed on a surface. We also have NFC for mobile payments, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, reversible USB type C input and compatibility with 4G LTE networks.
Price and availability
The Huawei P10 will go on sale throughout this newly inaugurated month of March at a price of 650 euros. You will also have it available in six different colors: matte black, silver, gold, green, blue and pink.
