Spotify is the most widespread music streaming service in the world. The company already has more than 28 million paying subscribers and more than 70 million active subscribers. Thanks to its app, Spotify allows us to take music anywhere and enjoy the best songs on our mobile device through its extensive catalog. However, the service has a series of functions that not everyone knows about. Let's review a few.
Discover weekly music
If you find it difficult to search the Internet for all the musical news that are published weekly, did you know that you can turn to Spotify ? Every Monday the service updates its Weekly Discovery list to offer us music that, supposedly, we can be to our liking. For this, the service has a system in which it analyzes our listeners, or our favorite lists, in order to reveal what may interest us.
Increase the quality of music
Spotify offers quality music up to 320 kbps, but only for premium subscribers. By default, whether we stream it or have it downloaded, the music is listened to in a range that ranges from 96 kbps to 160 kbps. There is a way to change the quality. You just have to go into Settings> Streaming Quality. We recommend that you change it depending on the connection method you use, if you do not want to be surprised with your data rate.
Add songs from Shazam
Shazam is one of those great apps to discover unknown songs. At the click of a button it allows you to know in a matter of seconds what is that song that is playing and that you still do not control. Now, did you know that you can locate those musical pieces from the same Spotify interface ? If you link your account in the application, Shazam will be in charge of creating a list of discoveries where it will dump all that music that we discovered by chance.
Import songs from iTunes or your computer
Spotify has a lot of music, but unfortunately it does not have all the music that exists and we could find that there is not that song or album that we would like to listen so much at any given time. If there is a disc that is not in your catalog, but you have it stored on your computer, did you know that you can include it? For this you will need a premium subscription, go to the left bar of Local Files and look for the folders where we want to import the music.
Recover a playlist that you have deleted
It doesn't matter if you deleted it by mistake, out of spite, or because you got tired of it. Spotify allows you to recover lists that you have previously deleted from your computer. To do this, you have to connect to the web with your data and select in the menu on the left an option called Recover Playlists. This option will allow you to undo all those wrongs that you are regretting.
