Do you use your Samsung mobile half charged because it takes too long to complete the charge? Slow charging on your mobile is more common than you might imagine, and it depends on a number of factors.
But it is not always a problem of computer hardware, it is also related to problematic updates and some bad habits of users. So pay attention to these possible solutions for slow charging your Samsung.
Check the charger and the mobile for problems
Let's start with the basic one. Most believe that cell phone chargers are interchangeable, so they take the first charger they find and plug it in. Big mistake.
So make sure that the charger you use is the original one for your Samsung mobile, or one that you have bought following the same specifications. And of course, a quality charger. Otherwise, your mobile will not only have problems in the charging process, but it can also damage internal circuits, for example, the charging pin.
And the same criteria apply with the charging cable. So make sure your charging kit is the original one, one recommended by the manufacturer or a trusted brand. So take a look at the device box or an online manual from the manufacturer and check the voltage and intensity that the charger needs to be compatible with your mobile.
And now let's go directly to the mobile checking if the loading speed is normal. To do this, we can use free applications such as Ampere.
You just have to install it on your Samsung device, and then start the upload to see the data that the app records. The application gives you a little help indicating what the minimums and maximums are.
Although the data that the application shows you will vary, since it is not the same if the mobile is at 10% than at 70%, if you see a pattern that remains at the minimum it is because you have a problem in some of the elements of the charging connector.
Test airplane mode for problems
The mobile does not stop working when you stop using it or turn off the screen. As long as it is on, many processes are running in the background, especially if you have many applications installed.
So if there is an error in the system processes, connections or apps, the load dynamics could be affected if you do it with the mobile on. So try charging with the mobile off to see if you notice any difference. And if for some reason you can't turn it off, put it in airplane mode to close all connections.
And here we make a clarification. Not that the airplane mode helps to significantly improve the loading time on a mobile that works well. Here we only use it to test if a conflict with the connections or some function of the apps (which requires internet) is causing a problem with the battery and the charging process.
If you notice any difference in loading speed while trying this method, you will have to spend time adjusting your computer's settings to optimize its performance.
Optimize your mobile before charging it
If your mobile slow charging problem is recent, you can use this trick to detect the problem. It is not that you need to optimize the mobile every time you charge the device, and that this ensures a faster charge. But in this situation it can make a difference.
When we use this option, the system automatically checks for some minor problems that could affect the battery, such as apps in the background, high battery usage, application failures, etc.
So it allows us to get rid of any error or operation that considerably affects its operation and autonomy. To test this option just go to Settings >> Device maintenance >> Optimize now.
Beware of charging source
Just as the mobile charging kit has to meet certain specifications and quality standards, the same applies to the source you use in the process. So try other options to verify that the wall charger, stabilizer or source you use is not the problem.
And if you usually use the USB cable to charge your mobile through the computer or a PowerBank, obviously the charging speed will be much slower. Also take into account other aspects of the charging process, for example, if the mobile heats up, or if the battery discharges quickly.
You can use the same application that we mentioned before to monitor this data, and see if your mobile has other patterns of behavior related to the battery that are not normal.
Restore the system and delete all data
When the mobile receives an important update, it usually happens that it temporarily affects some aspect of the device. Sometimes it is the battery life, the compatibility with some applications, and also the charging process.
In those cases, one of the solutions to get rid of the problem is to restore the device system. In this way, we eliminate the problematic update or any error that affects this aspect of the mobile.
To do this, go to Settings >> General Management >> Reset >> Factory Reset. Of course, first take all the necessary precautions to save all the data and content saved on the mobile that you want to keep.
