Exactly that has happened with the Android 7 update calendar for Samsung mobiles. The first phones to be updated have been the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. But the truth is that the data package was not deployed until very recently.
Testing was completed at the end of last year, but the final update had not yet been launched in January. If you have a Samsung Android phone and you still don't know when it will update to the latest version of Android, you may want to take a look at this Android 7 update calendar for Samsung phones. You have concrete data for May.
Update calendar to Android 7 of Samsung mobiles
The update schedule to Android 7 for Samsung mobiles is quite simple. Because in fact, the phones that will test this version of Google icons will be few. There, of course, the two new Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 edge, which already came out of the box equipped with Android 7.1 Nougat, do not enter.
The most advantageous of the list have already been updated. But we are going to review what is the state of things and the forecast for this month of May.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge
Both were two priority teams for Samsung, so they were the first to be updated. If you have this mobile in your pocket or you just took it out of the box, you should have started the update. It may have taken a bit longer if your device is associated with an operator.
However, at this point all the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge that work in Spain should work with Android 7 Nougat.
In fact, we have learned that Samsung is already testing the update to Android 7.1.1 Nougat on the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. In the last few days a performance test of this model has been observed with the latest Android package.
The data suggest that the update could roll out from the second half of 2017, with no specific date on the horizon. It would be available, logically, for both the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and the Samsung Galaxy S7.
In any case, it should be noted that it is an incremental update. This means that the process should not be too mysterious and the package should be ready as soon as possible.
Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge +
They are no longer considered flagships of the Samsung catalog. Not surprisingly, users have in their hands to acquire the new Samsung Galaxy S8, which are positioned two generations later. However, members of the S6 family are still considered by Samsung.
The update to Android 7.0 for these devices started in March. Climbing, as you know, is usually progressive, but by now the update should have already materialized. If you have a Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 or S6 edge + linked to an operator, you may be receiving it late.
Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A3 2017
At the moment there are no official data on the update. As you know, the Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 came standard equipped with an old version of Android . We refer to Android 6.0 Marhsmallow.
However, in recent weeks it has been known that Samsung is already testing the update to Android 7.1.1 Nougat for these models.
What does this mean? Well, if the forecasts are not twisted, the update could be scheduled for the second half of 2017. There is still no date on the horizon, so we will stay tuned to observe
Samsung Galaxy A5 and Samsung Galaxy A3 2016
More of the same happens with members of the older generation. They are candidates for the update, but at the moment there is no clear date for the update. We can tell you that they have appeared in performance tests running Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
It is possible, then, that Samsung is already working on the update. And that this can be released in just a few weeks. At the moment we will keep an eye on the unofficial calendars to give you the information of its launch as soon as possible.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5
Everything indicates that the update to Android 7 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be ready in a few weeks. All the forecasts we had so far indicated that the update would take place during the first half of 2017.
This update has not yet taken place here in Spain, but it has started to arrive in certain markets. Particularly in India and Turkey. We know, however, that it could arrive in Europe and specifically in Spain between May and June.
Samsung Galaxy J7, Samsung Galaxy J5 and Samsung Galaxy J3 2016
And we end this calendar with updates from other more basic equipment. They are the Samsung Galaxy J7, Samsung Galaxy J5 and Samsung Galaxy J3 2016, three terminals that are part of Samsung's cheapest range, but which will also be updated to Android 7.0 Nougat.
These teams are expected to receive Android 7.1.1 Nougat starting next July. This means that if you have any of these terminals and you plan to keep it until then, you will have to wait a minimum of three months.
Something similar will happen with the members of the J series who were presented in 2015. The forecasts that we have right now on the table tell us about an update from October 2017. We will continue to be attentive to update this data if there are news.
