There is more than one occasion in which we find ourselves in need of looking for information on our mobile phone. What processor do you have? What is its storage? What exact version of the software do we have downloaded?
In the Settings of our phone we can find much of that information, but not all. That is why we are going to give you the clues so that you know the information possibilities that your phone gives you, and then we are going to offer you an external alternative so that you can access a complete diagnosis of the device, with all the information at your fingertips.
Basic information
Almost all newer Samsung, Huawei, or Sony devices have very similar firmware settings. At least as far as the diagnostic part is concerned. One of the menus where we can find basic information about the phone is found under the name " Phone information" or "About this phone ".
Clicking on that menu we can find information such as the phone's model number or the exact version of Android that we have installed. In addition, in the Status submenu we will access other data of interest, such as the phone number of the SIM installed and its operator, the IMEI number or our IP address.
If what we are looking for is hardware data, we must return to the general Settings menu. By checking the Storage section, you can know exactly how many GB you have available on your phone. If you want to know how much RAM memory you have, (in addition to your level of expenditure), you must click on Memory.
In addition, in the Applications option, you can find a complete list of all the programs that you have downloaded to your phone. Remember that not all of them can be uninstalled, as some are part of the firmware . What you can know is how much each one is occupying.
What if I want to know data such as the power of my processor, or the megapixels of my camera? For that we are going to need some outside help.
All the information
Of all the benchmark programs, which are those that are responsible for analyzing the performance of a device, the most complete in terms of diagnostics is AnTuTu. Therefore, the first thing we recommend is that you download it. When you have done it, you enter the start menu. You will then have to mark the lower right button, where we read Info.
Once inside, a very complete menu will be displayed where we can know every detail of our phone. For example, the exact processor model, the cores it uses, and the frequency. We can also know the graphics card it uses and the resolution of our screen.
If we are interested in the RAM of the phone, and the internal ROM, they will be at our disposal, both available and used. If what we want is to know the megapixels of the camera, both rear and front, we can also do it. At the end we will find a section with the sensors that we have enabled, such as a light sensor, gyroscope or accelerometer, and if we have connections such as NFC. The only relevant information that would remain in the pipeline is to know the capacity of our battery.
Except for that detail, the rest of the information on your Sony, Huawei or Samsung phone is closer to hand than ever with Antutu Benchmark. It is a very simple way to know what the possibilities of our phone are, in addition to its limitations.
