The Google Chromecast has undoubtedly become one of the most popular gadgets in recent years to connect the mobile to the TV via WiFi. Thanks to this we can transmit our favorite movies and series to television from our mobile without resorting to complex configurations. However, as we have mentioned above, simulating its functionality is possible thanks to third-party applications.
One of the ones that has worked best for us is AirScreen, although there are others like Cheapcast with similar operation. The application is free of charge in the Play Store, and we will only have to install it on our smartphone to activate the broadcast. Once we have installed it, we will open it and a WiFi point will automatically be created with which we can connect from other mobiles if we are connected - worth the redundancy - from the same network. After this, we will go to a video application such as YouTube from another mobile and click on the Chromecast icon to start broadcasting the content live. Automatically afterwards the image will be reproduced on the mobile with AirScreen installed. Now all we have to do is connect it to the TV through an HDMI, MHL or USB type C cable to duplicate the mobile screen on the TV. Later we can use the mobile with total normality without losing the connection with the Chomecast.
