Do you have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro? One of the most interesting features of this terminal is your artificial intelligence and how it is applied to the camera. Huawei has wanted to provide different methods in the Mate 20, and one of them is by recording video, with what we know as video filters with artificial intelligence (AI). These video filters allow you to add different effects to the scene, such as a black and white background and a color lens, a blurred background, with sepia tones… all in real time. If you have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro it is likely that these effects will not appear or you will not find them. Does it happen to you? We will tell you below how you can activate and use them.
First, you will need to update the Software. Yes, I'm talking about the version of the operating system. This mode will not be available unless you upgrade to version 9.0.0.122 onwards. Remember that this is a system update, and you must follow the basic steps, such as having enough battery, available storage and being connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
Once the terminal is updated to the latest version, go to the camera app and drag to the video section. An icon with a kind of wand should appear in the lower area. If you press, all available artificial intelligence filters will appear.
How to record with artificial intelligence filters
To use a filter you just have to select it and start recording. It's a real-time filter, so you should see it even before recording. Most of the time it works fine, although effects that require a primary focus often fail. You can record as if it were a normal video. Afterwards, it will appear in the gallery of the device and you can reproduce or share it like any other.
Very important: video filters only work in certain resolutions, such as Full HD + in different formats, Full H, 720+ and 720.
