Today Samsung's customization layer has little or nothing to do with that of a few years ago. It currently has a good number of functions that improve the user experience to a greater or lesser extent. One of those functions is the famous Edge screen, a feature that allows us to slide a menu with shortcuts for music, WhatsApp conversations, contacts, etc. from the right side of the screen. Fortunately, there are applications that imitate this same functionality, and today we will show you how to have the Edge screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and S9 on any phone.
Install the Samsung Edge screen on any mobile thanks to Edge Screen S9
If there is something that Android stands out for, it is because of the freedom it offers us when installing applications. Thanks to this, we can enjoy the functions of other mobiles on our phones without having to root the system. An example of this is the Edge application of the Samsung, which thanks to an application available in Google we can have it in practically any terminal
To do this, and as we indicated in the subtitle of the entry, we will have to download the Edge Screen S9 application, which is completely free in the Play Store. Once it has been installed on our smartphone or tablet, we will provide all the necessary permissions and then we will activate the Edge service option. If we want this to run automatically when we start the mobile, we will have to activate the Auto start on boot option, which is found in the Other section. We can also change the language in the Language section to Spanish. Now we can start to configure the Edge screen of the Samsung Galaxy S9 on our mobile.
Set up the Edge display app
After having correctly configured the application to start automatically, we will have to modify its appearance so that it appears to our liking. The first thing we will have to do is modify the area where we want to activate the application. In this case, it is as simple as going to the Touch area setting section and modifying the different parameters that appear.
Another section that can be modified in the application is that of the windows that it shows us when sliding to one side or another. This can be modified within Edge management. Once inside, we can add WhatsApp conversations, Android actions, an integrated music player, weather widgets, etc. Of course, some are paid, but most are free.
Of course, we can also modify the appearance of the Samsung Edge menu in the Background section. There we can change the wallpaper, the opacity and even the transparency.
