The Sony Xperia Z5 is a high-end terminal. The latest Sony terminal stands out for having one of the best cameras on the market and for its battery life. However, it is not without some problems. We are going to review what are the most common problems that Sony Xperia Z5 users have and how to solve them.
Terminal does not turn on
Sometimes the power on the Sony Xperia Z5 fails and only shows a blank screen. According to Sony itself, a possible solution is to try a forced shutdown. How is it done? You have to open the cover of the SIM card and with a fine tip, hold down the off button for a couple of seconds. If it went well, the terminal will vibrate three times and it will be possible to start the terminal again.
Another possibility is to try a two minute reboot. It consists of pressing the off button for 2 minutes, ignoring the vibrations that occur. Once the two minutes have passed, you will have to connect the Sony Xperia Z5 to the charger and when the charging icon appears, try to turn it on.
The battery is short
Despite the Sony Xperia Z5 incorporating a large battery, intensive use may drastically reduce its life. One way to “save” some battery is to use STAMINA mode. This battery saving mode disables Wi-Fi and mobile data when the screen is off.
There is an even more radical mode called STAMINA ULTRA. This mode limits everything except basic tasks, such as receiving calls or messages.
Calls are not heard correctly
Some Sony Xperia Z5 users have reported sound problems on some calls. One way to fix it is to use the audio equalizer located in Settings, Call option and then Equalizer. The most common is to select Normal mode.
If it is not solved it will be necessary to try a restart of the terminal. And, although it sounds obvious, it is interesting to look at how the hand is placed, since inadvertently it is possible that we are covering the microphone.
Loss of coverage
The first thing to do to troubleshoot loss of mobile coverage is to disable automatic network mode selection. It can be found in the Settings menu and then in the More mobile networks option. You will have to select a fixed network mode and then restart the terminal.
The touch screen does not work
If the touch screen of the Sony Xperia Z5 is not working, there are several actions you can take to fix it. The first thing is to check the screen saver. Some may cause the touch option not to work properly. Another possible cause, according to Sony itself, is excessive heat.
In any case, the terminal itself incorporates an application that performs a terminal test and detects possible problems. If the screen is failing, a good option is to run this application located in Settings. We will have to look for the option About phone and then Diagnosis. If it detects a problem, the terminal itself will indicate it.
Loss of performance
The Sony Xperia Z5 is a premium terminal, so its overall performance should be good. If you notice a performance drop in the form of crashes or delays in the execution of an application, it is possible that there is something wrong. Starting the terminal in Safe Mode could help detect if an application is causing this performance drop.
To start in Safe Mode, the terminal must be turned off and on by pressing the power button and keeping it pressed. When the Sony logo appears, press the volume down button until safe mode appears. Starting in this way, only the applications that come from the factory with the device will be available. This allows you to check if any application installed by the user is causing the terminal to malfunction.
