iOS 9.3 is giving numerous problems. Since its launch on March 21, many users have visited specialized media and forums to express their complaints. One of the most important bugs found in iOS 9.3 has been that of the links, which prevents the device from responding when clicking on one, either in Safari or in other applications. If you are being one of those affected, Apple is already working on a new version, but while it arrives we can give you a very practical temporary solution.
This solution requires that you connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer and sync it with iTunes. Also, you should uninstall the Booking.com app from your device if you have it installed. This app has been one of the most affected by the problem, registering thousands of links. Specifically, the list of URLs occupies 2.3 MB, much more than iOS seems to support. Once you delete it from your phone or tablet, then activate Airplane Mode, connect your device to your computer, and open iTunes.
Once you've synced your device with iTunes, turn it off and on. Make sure you have the Booking.com application on your computer. You can find the download link here. Continue with active airplane mode and then sync the Booking.com app with your device from iTunes. To do this, select your iOS device in iTunes, switch to the Apps tab, search for Booking.com and press Install. Then press Synchronize. When you have done this, wait for the synchronization to finish, and open the Booking.com application on your device.
Force close the Booking.com application and also the Safari application by double clicking on the Home button and dragging the app upwards. Finally, deactivate airplane mode and open Safari. When you are done with the whole process, your links should open fine again, and the same will happen with other apps like Mail or Messages. It is very possible that you will have to repeat this process several times, since it seems that there have to be specific times for the correct caches to be cleaned.
The one of the links has not been the only serious problem in iOS 9.3. As we informed you a few days ago, some users with old Apple devices have found their equipment blocked at the time of updating. This is because the ID and password that were used to configure it for the first time are required, something that not everyone remembers. There is also a solution for this and it goes through bypassing the activation by going into the Find my iPhone function of the user's iCloud account. It is also possible to fix it by connecting the device to a computer and entering the details of the ID from Apple today iniTunes. In any case, as we say, Apple is already preparing a new iOS update that finally fixes all these troublesome bugs that have put the platform in the spotlight.
