On Android phones, through a little trick we can simulate fake locations. That is, you can be in the Canary Islands while you make your mobile (and therefore also the apps you have installed) think that you are in Madrid.
This has many uses, such as bypassing regional blocks of some applications, to obtain benefits that we would only have in certain locations or even to play a joke on someone making them believe that you are traveling through the real-time locations of WhatsApp. In this way, you can upload a story to Instagram and use the location tag of another city or country, something that you could only do while physically there.
Set fake locations on Android
The first thing we will have to do is go to the Settings application of our phone. We go down completely and we will see a section called “About the device”. We enter and click 7 times on another section called "Compilation number"; If we do not see it with the naked eye, we will see it in the "Software Info" section. It is likely that a small warning will appear on the screen indicating that we have activated the developer mode, which is what we are looking for.
We go to the application store and download Fake Location (Mock GPS). It will ask us to allow some permissions that we will have to accept. Now we return to the configuration application. We go down to the bottom of everything and enter "Developer options".
We activate the top button completely. We go down again until we find "App test location", click on it and choose the application that we have just installed called Fake location.
We return to the application, we move on the map to where we want; and when we are on the site, we press the button "Start false location". Then we can go to any application and use geolocation services. Whenever we want, we can return to the real location by pressing the "Leave false location" button within the installed app. For example, I have selected Algeria and, indeed, Instagram detects it for me.
Actually, it does not matter what application we use. They all have the same purpose and functions, but this is the best known and it works very well.
