In some moments it might be convenient that you put the screen of your mobile in black and white and then forget how you did it. And who wants a phone with the screen always in black and white, when the panels of current mobiles offer such optimal results? It is true that the black and white screen can help people who see their phone too much, those who think that they may be a bit 'hooked' on their smartphone. By placing the screen in black and white, it becomes less attractive and makes you less willing to pick up your phone, unlock it, and spend some time lost in front of it, browsing the Internet, looking on social networks or having inconsequential conversations with a friend.
Get back to color on your Android phone
To deactivate (or activate, that this tutorial serves for both cases) the black and white screen we must go to the ' Developer options ' in Android. These options are not active by default. We have to use a small and simple trick that we can perform in a matter of seconds.
First, we enter the settings of our phone, then in 'About our phone', press about seven times on the 'MIUI version', in the case that it is a Xiaomi phone. If it is any other phone of the brand, you will have to search for 'version + layer name' (for example, EMUI in the case of Huawei or ONE UI in case of having a Samsung). At that time, we will already have active the 'Developer options' within the 'Additional settings' section of our mobile.
Now, we enter the 'Developer options' and look for the section 'Hardware accelerated rendering'. Here we are going to enter ' Simulate color space '. A small dialog box will open at the bottom of the screen with the following options.
- Disabled. If we press this option, our mobile will have the screen in full color again, disabling the black and white that you put and that you did not remember how to eliminate.
- Monochrome. This option leaves your phone with a black and white screen, thus avoiding the temptation of looking at your phone at all times.
- Deuteranomalia. Color blindness consisting of not identifying the green color correctly.
- Protanomalia. Color blindness that consists of not correctly identifying the color red.
- Tritanomalia. A third type of color blindness that consists of not distinguishing between blue and yellow.
