The LG G3 from the South Korean company LG incorporates the buttons of the Android operating system inside the screen. This means that we are facing virtual buttons, which can be customized to the taste of each user depending on the buttons that we want to always have visible on the screen. And it is even possible to add more buttons to the strip of virtual buttons, thus allowing any user to always have at hand the applications they may need on a daily basis.
In this tutorial we are going to explain step by step how to customize the virtual buttons on the LG G3 screen. For this we will only need an LG G3 with the interface in its original factory version, since this smartphone comes standard with all the necessary settings to configure the virtual buttons without the need to install any additional application.
How to customize virtual on-screen buttons on the LG G3
- First we must go to the application settings of the LG G3. This application appears accessible in the form of a gear-shaped icon on the main screen of the terminal, so we simply have to click on this icon to access the mobile configuration screen.
- Once inside, at the top of the screen we should see several tabs, among which there will be one with the name " Screen ". We click on this tab.
- Then click on the option " Start touch buttons " that appears located in the " Start and lock " section.
- Within this new screen, click on the option " Combination of buttons ".
- In this configuration window we will have access to all the configuration options related to the virtual buttons of our LG G3. Even if we look at the bottom of the screen, we will see an animation that shows us how we can rearrange the Home touch buttons. As indicated in this animation, all we have to do to change the organization of the touch buttons is to keep our finger pressed on any of the icons to drag it to the strip of virtual buttons.
- Once we have configured the virtual buttons to our liking, we simply exit this configuration window and, in principle, the touch buttons should appear on the screen as we have configured them. Let us also remember that, in the event that these buttons bother us in an application, LG has made available to users an option that allows to hide the virtual buttons on the LG G3 in those applications that the user specifies.
Although virtual buttons can be criticized because they take up useful space on the screen of smartphones, one of their great advantages is precisely the customization possibilities they offer, something that is unthinkable in a mobile with conventional touch buttons.
