The Huawei Mate 8 is a 6-inch phablet that competes with the big launches on the market. This mobile incorporates the Kirin 950 eight-core processor, one of the most powerful that exists today. It also highlights its camera with a Sony bill and 16 megapixels of resolution or an excellent battery with a capacity of 4,000 milliamps. And all this with a very elegant design in a single piece of aluminum, completely dominated by the screen. If you plan to get the Huawei Mate 8or you have already bought it, we explain how to customize it through different themes and wallpapers. We tell you all the details and we leave you the link to its complete analysis at the end.
The new Huawei terminal allows us to use several different themes to personalize our phone. Specifically, there are six different themes to choose from. Their names are "Obsidian", "Gold", "Blush", "Ink", "Mocha" and "Spectrum". To access the customization options, just go to the “Themes” app that we find among the pre-installed tools. Once inside we have a preview of each of the themes, which allow us to have a clear idea of what to expect. Some of them are more serious and others carefree, such as the “Blush” theme that dominates the color pink.
By the way, each theme not only changes the background image of Android menus, but also colors the icons of Huawei's own apps and changes the lock screen. A very interesting option is to customize each theme. From this menu we can choose both the screen lock style and the background or even the icons. So, for example, it is possible to choose the background image of the Blush theme and the Mocha icons.
Within the "Main screen" option, if we press on the "More" button, we are shown the predefined Huawei wallpapers and also a few that use an animation (six static wallpapers and five animated wallpapers). The wallpapers that come directly from the apps that we install will also be included here. In the event that we want to use our own images to give the phone a touch of its own, we must go to the "More" button again . Here we will see a simple menu appear like the one we see above with the photo apps that we have installed on the phone. In our case, "Gallery" and "Photos".
Once we select the desired photo, a preview is shown where we can see how the photo will look. In addition to using the image as is, Huawei offers us two different options. On the one hand, we can configure the value "Illusion". Despite this bombastic name, it's basically about applying a level of blur to the photo to make it less defined. The "Scrollable" option is used so that the wallpaper can be moved when we drag the panel to change menus.
