Do you have more and more contacts on your iPhone and want to send them to your email? Either for work or leisure, it is very possible that in the end you will have to communicate via email with almost all the contacts in your agenda. That is why the most advisable thing is that you also have all of them available in Gmail, to reach out to any of them as soon as you need it. Transferring your contacts from the phonebook to Gmail is a very simple process. Here we explain how you can do it.
The first thing you have to do is activate your address book so that the contacts on your iPhone are synchronized with iCloud, Apple's cloud service. This is an essential step, since later you will have to use your iCloud account to transfer the data. Go to the settings section, click on the circle of your profile (which shows your name). Then go into Contacts and make sure the toggle is activated.
Once you have activated iPhone contacts with iCloud, you will have to perform the corresponding steps with Gmail. To do this, go to the web where you have your Google contacts stored. It is a page specially dedicated to this function. Once inside, to add your iPhone contacts, go to the left side and select the "More" section from the menu. Then mark "Import".
Then you will see that a window opens in which you will have to choose from where you want to import. Choose "Other provider" email. At this step, enter the data of your iCloud email account and the password you have for this service. Select “Go ahead; I accept ”so that the process can begin.
If you look at the previous image, you will see a notice that indicates that a third party is going to be responsible for carrying out the import, so you must give it temporary access to the data of your contacts, names and email addresses. It is necessary that you accept the conditions of use, although we recommend that you read the privacy policy of, in this case ShuttleCloud, first. Keep in mind that the import process could take a minute.
