Do you want to hide applications on your Huawei mobile? It is likely that you prefer to access a specific app privately, without it appearing on the home screen or in the application drawer of your mobile. Fortunately, there are several very useful methods that work without the need to download a third-party app. In this article I show you how you can hide an application on a Huawei mobile without having to download other applications.
How to hide system apps
Huawei allows us to hide the applications that are pre-installed in the system. That is, those that are already installed when we configure the device. By hiding them we do not have access to them and they do not appear on the home screen or application drawer. Some pre-installed apps that we can disable to hide are: Notes, Calculator, Calendar…
How are these types of applications hidden? It's very simple: we just have to go to Settings> Applications> Applications. Next, we select the apps that we want to hide. For example, 'Notepad'. We click on the 'Disable' button and confirm the action. Now, it will no longer appear anywhere.
Of course, you must bear in mind that when you disable the application, if that app is used in the background or through another app, some options will stop working. For example, when disabling Calendar, we will not be able to add events through a link.
How to hide downloaded apps
How can we hide downloaded apps? The option is not the same as with apps that are already installed by default. In this case, we must use an option available in EMUI: Private Space.
The Private Space is a function that creates a hidden area on our Huawei mobile. To access it we need to enter a PIN code different from that of our device. Or, a different fingerprint than the one we have configured on the mobile. In addition, it is also necessary to log into our Google account.
To hide the apps, we have to download them in this Private Space. Thus they will not appear in our normal account, but will be in a hidden area where we can access quickly.
So you can activate Private Space on a Huawei mobile.
To activate Private Space, go to Settings> Privacy> Private Space> Enable. Enter the PIN of your device and then select a different one, the one you will use in your private area. You can also register a different fingerprint.
Now, you must access the Private Space and configure it. To do this, lock the terminal and access using the PIN code or previously registered fingerprint. Accept the terms and log into Google Play.
Before downloading an application to hide it on your mobile, you must activate an option that hides this private space from all users. You just have to go to Settings> Privacy> Private Space> Hide Private Space. Activate this option. Now , you can download applications and log in with your account. You can uninstall the ones you already have in your main profile, although be careful, as in some apps you can lose data.
Hiding an app with private space is even more useful than using third-party apps. Above all, taking into account that no one will be able to know that you have a hidden area with applications that you do not want to show.
