The Android Gallery app has always been one of the worst apps of the green android operating system. Today, many manufacturers choose to implement their own applications in their customization layers. Unfortunately, most of these do not have more or less advanced options such as hiding images. Fortunately, there is a way to hide images from the Android gallery without resorting to external applications, and the way to do it is very simple.

The solution for all these searches is very simple, as we mentioned in the previous paragraph. The only thing we will need, if we do not already have the application, will be to download a file explorer from the Play Store. ES Explorer is one of the best alternatives, although the others are equally valid.
Once we have downloaded the browser in question, the first thing we will have to do is go to the folder of the images that we want to hide (WhatsApp Images is the one we will use in our case). In the event that you have images belonging to several folders, the best thing to do is create a new one and put together all the photos that we want to hide. We must clarify that the photos belonging to the mobile camera are in the DCIM folder.
Are we already in the folder that we want to hide from the Android Gallery application? The next step to hide the files will be to create a. To do this, we will click on the three Options points and we will click New. Finally we will give File and we will name it .nomedia (the point is necessary to hide the contents of the folder in question).
And that's it, as simple as that. Now we can navigate through the Gallery application with the files housed in the folder completely hidden. One last point, and only in case we want to make the folder visible again, is that we will have to use a computer to delete the.nomedia file, since the phone will not be able to read said file. When we have connected the mobile to the PC, we will look for the file in question and delete it, making the photos that we have hidden visible again.
