It happens, on occasion, that when we look at the screen of our mobile to see who is calling us, the number is hidden. The reasons why someone would want to hide their phone number when calling, this time, does not concern us. But it does the fact that you want, at some point, to do that. Call someone without knowing that you are the one doing it. If you do not know how to do it, have you ever wondered how, or if you have arrived here precisely looking for such information, here we come to your aid. We are going to teach you to call with a hidden number, and both from a mobile phone and from your home landline.
Call with a hidden number from your home landline
If you want to make a call with a hidden number from your home landline (a friend told me that he continues to use it), we are going to carry out the following steps.
To call with a hidden number from the landline you must dial the number 067 before proceeding with the phone number of your recipient. Imagine that the phone you want to call is 91 456 789: you must dial, in this order, and in a row, the numbers 06791456789. You just have to remember that we add 067 to the number in question, whether the recipient is a landline number or a number belonging to a mobile phone.
How to call with hidden number from mobile phone
On the contrary, if it is from the mobile phone where we want to make the call without revealing that we are the ones making it, we must carry out the following steps.
If you only want to hide your phone number on a specific call, you must dial the following combination of numbers and characters: # 31 # and then the number you want to call, whether it is a landline or a telephone mobile. If the telephone number with which you want to establish communication is 666777888 you must dial, followed by, # 31 # 666777888. In this way, when your recipient receives the call, they will not know that it is you who is making it.
If, on the contrary, you want all your calls to be made with the hidden number, we will have to access the settings of our phone and do the following tutorial. Keep in mind that this small tutorial is done following the steps of a Xiaomi terminal, which has an Android customization layer. That way, on another phone (be it, for example, from the Samsung or Huawei brands) it could differ somewhat. But in essence, the steps should be very similar in all cases as all layers are Android based.
We open the settings application of our phone. Subsequently, we go to the 'Applications' section, 'System application settings', 'Call settings', 'Advanced settings' and, finally, ' Caller ID '. If you click on this last option, a new screen will appear with the option 'Caller ID'. Press again and a dialog box will appear at the bottom of the screen with three options:
- Default network
- Hide number
- Show number
We must select, of course, the second option ' Hide number '. From then on, all the calls you make will be made by hiding your phone number. When you want it to appear again, go back to the previous configuration and choose the one that comes by default, 'Default network'. This way, your number will be displayed again so that everyone knows that you are the one calling.
