How to update to Android Q beta 4
If you have one of the above smartphones and you want to install the fourth beta of Android Q, the first thing you have to do is enter the Android Beta program page. Once inside, click on the Sign in button to sign up for it with your Google account. Keep in mind that although you previously registered to install previous Android P betas, you will have to repeat the process now for Android Q.
You will be transferred for a moment to a window to log in. Once you have completed the process you will return to the beta website. In this window, you will have to log in with the Google account where you have registered the terminal that you are going to use in the beta. That is, it is the same account that you have configured on your mobile. When you have logged in you will return to the Android Beta page. Now, scroll down to where it indicates Devices eligible for the program. This section will show the devices you have where you can install the beta. You just have to click on the phone box where you want to test it. Then click on Participate accepting the conditions of use.
Once your mobile is registered, you will receive a beta update within 24 hours. Basically, it will be the same as if you received a normal Android update. In the event that after that time you do not see the pop-up message on the device screen advising you of availability, enter Settings, System, Advanced, System updates within your mobile.
You have to remember that it is a test version, so it is normal that you encounter different bugs and errors. Therefore, it is recommended that if you are not a developer or an experienced user, you wait until the final version of the system is ready. The update schedule is going as planned. This beta four was scheduled for early June, and it has been. Beta five is expected in the third quarter of the year.
This will be followed by a sixth beta, also during the third quarter, which will precede the final version in mid-late summer, possibly in August or early September.
