Then, click on the 'Download' button that appears at the bottom. Wait for it to download. Click on the APK from the notification area. The installer will open. Click on 'Allow' and then on 'Install'. It is about installing a Google Play Store client, where you can download this application without the need for Google services. The client is called Aurora Store. It must be downloaded from the browser, on the website itself. You can do it from here. Install the app like any other APK. Then open the store. It will ask you to log in with your Google account, although you can also do it anonymously.
If you've already installed the Maps APK with the first method, you don't need to uninstall and reinstall it. The portal will recognize the application and will update it if a new version is available.
Once logged in, click on the option that says 'Search apps and games' and type Google Maps. You will have to download the second application that appears in the list, since it is the full version. Click on 'Install'. It will download as an APK and in a few seconds it will be on your phone. Open the application and check that it works correctly.
To update the app, go to the Aurora Store and click on 'Updates'. There will appear all the apps with a new version available. Click on 'Update all' and the latest version will be downloaded.
