Some of you who have bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 8, maybe you are a little disappointed by not having received the update to Android 8 Oreo yet. Although it is a matter of patience, because it will come sooner or later, if you are impatient to be able to try the latest version of Android on your most cutting edge Samsung terminal, here is a solution.
A Reddit user has posted the way to install a beta version of Android 8 Oreo on his Galaxy Note 8. It is an OTA (Over The Air): these are the fastest and easiest updates, they are downloaded directly from a server, via Wi-Fi. Of course, they require the download of specific software and a certain knowledge of computer science.
Two ways to download
The user recommends two ways to download, one from a link to Google Drive and then from a second direct link. To be able to do this, you will first have to have downloaded the BQK2 version of the ODIN software, specially designed for this type of download. We recommend proceeding with this operation only to users who are already familiar with these systems, as a first-time user can be very complicated. He who warns is not a traitor.
Keep in mind that the version that you will download is not the official one confirmed by Samsung. Even so, users who have downloaded it have been able to confirm some of the new features it introduces, such as the new Samsung Experience 9.0 customization layer.
A notice for Spanish users
In the Reddit message itself, we are warned that this OTA could be "unstable", which can lead to a crash. Furthermore, this OTA with Android 8 Oreo is intended for versions that work with the Snapdragon 835 chip. The models marketed in Spain, on the other hand, do so with an Exynos 8895 processor, so this could influence that the operation is not absolutely smooth.
