The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has a button in the left area specifically for Bixby, Samsung's virtual assistant. This button is in a not very successful location, since we can accidentally press it, even confuse it with the volume button. Surprisingly, Samsung does not add any option to disable the button. Now they have updated the wizard with the ability to activate the wizard with two taps. This prevents accidental touches. We show you how to do it.
First, update Bixby, Samsung's Virtual Assistant. To do this, press the physical key when you are on the home screen. Now, go to the three points that appear in the upper right area. Click on "Setings" which appears in fourth position. Now, go to the end of everything, where it says “About Bixby Voice”. Check that the updates are already installed and that you have a version higher than 2.0.36.
Twice in a row to open Bixby
Close Bixby and press the button again to start it again. Go again to the three points in the upper area and press Setting again. Now , you will have to look for the option that says "Bixby Key". You will see that there are two options. In the first one, which is selected by default, Bixby will open with a single press. If we want it to do it with two keystrokes, we just have to click on the second option. Close the wizard and you will see that pressing once will not open. You will have to do it twice in a row and quickly.
The truth is that we would have liked an option that deactivated the assistant, and we would have loved to have a setting in the system that allows us to select another option, for example, one press to open the camera, two to launch the assistant… We will see if Samsung you finally decide to update Bixby with more options for the button.
