If you have reached this article, it is probably because you want to install applications on the SD card in Android. A few months ago we already taught you how to do it through the system's own options in the respective article. However, there are some that cannot be installed in external memory for various reasons. Today we will teach you to force the installation of applications on a microSD card in a simple way and best of all: without the need to root the mobile or tablet.
Before proceeding with the explanation, it is necessary to clarify that the steps described below are only compatible with Android versions equal to or higher than Android Marshmallow 6.0. Likewise, we must have selected the SD card as internal memory once we have inserted it into the smartphone in question.
Install apps on SD card on Android without root
Installing apps on a memory card is the wet dream of every third-party Android user. If until a few years ago we had to resort to complex solutions to achieve this, today the system allows it to come true without installing applications or rooting the smartphone or tablet.
To do this, the first thing we will have to do is go to the Android Developer Settings. As these s show hidden in the system, we will have to activate them by pressing several times on the Compilation number or Compilation version section within About the device. Once we have activated them, we will go to the new section that will appear in the Settings and then we will look for an option with a name similar to that of Force the permission of applications externally. Finally we will activate this option and the system will automatically let us install any application on the SD card.
To check it, as simple as go to the Applications section, click on the application that we want to move to the SD card and click the Move application to card button. From now on, all data will be stored on the external microSD card, although its performance will depend entirely on the speed of reading and writing of the card in question.
