Do you have an Honor or Huawei mobile and want to update to the latest version of EMUI or Android? Companies often launch their applications in a staggered fashion. In other words, it could take some users days or even weeks to receive the new version. Fortunately there are some simple and practical methods to force the update. We show you two very interesting ones.
What is force an update? It's basically about getting it to your device faster in different methods. The fastest is through HiCare. Be careful, this option is useful if the update has already reached your country or device model, but it still does not appear in the system settings.
HiCare is an application available on Huawei and Honor phones and provides different support options, such as technical support, tutorials, types for EMUI etc. And also an option that checks if there is already an update ready to download and install. In this case, it is not staggered, but rather downloads the latest patch.
To update from HiCare, we go to the app and click on the option that says 'Update' Then, we follow the steps until the update appears in the system. From there it's like a regular software update.
Use Fimware Finder for Huawei
The second and possibly the most complete option is to use the Fimware Finder for Huawei app. Here we can find the latest version available for our device. We will have to download the app from the Google Play Store. When we open it, our device model will appear and after an announcement (yes, the app has advertising) we will be able to see all the available versions, with their size and update date.
It is important to check in settings> system information> software update, which version number we already have installed. This way we will not download the same version again. If we verify that the last one has not yet appeared on our device, click on the update and click on the option that says 'Check Firmware Access' to verify that the update is compatible. Then, click on Download and install it through the Android recovery.
